Is it true that we won't be able to see the WC Final because of the war coverage?
Is Eddie hosting the war?

Appartently the war will only be on during change of overs.When an overs being bowled,the army men will hold fire. ;)
i would think that the australian troops would delay their part in any war activities til after the final.
maybe john could have a word in georges ear about delay the whole thing til after sunday.

C'mon guys, let's be fair dinkum aussies here.
Of course they will show the true "heroes", as they prepare to do "battle" against their arch "enemies". Channel 9 will show the "slaughtering" and "massacre" as they are supposed to do. And maybe for newsworthy purpose they will show some of the war in Iraq too.

If channel 9 decide to show the war instead of the World Cup final, then I will be ****ed off. I mean, every other channel is going to show it so why would 9 bother? You would think that they would get lot better ratings not showing the war. And what are they going to show? Missiles firing?
i would be very surprised if they didn't actually show the finals. i would think there would have to be some huge news story for this senario to happen.

Yep. Well it started at 11.30 here so it was delayed but it would have been live in Melbourne/Sydney.

Yes they did. I turned on ch9 at about 4.30am and it was still on,but at 6.30 this morning it wasn't,even though the game was still on.

hahah some guy on QLD Talkback radio rang up and had a spit about India v Kenya only starting at 11pm. He was going on for ages about how its unfair that they don't get live matches etc etc. Then about 2 minutes later the radio hosts realised that the game was starting live, but it starts at 11 because it is a day/nighter in SA. The caller just went "oh" and then hung up.

The footy show ended at 11pm Perth time (has to be a record since it usually ends at 11.30-11.40pm).
I was hoping the cricket would be on, but they showed Nightline and I went to bed since I had Uni this morning.
I've heard that Channel Nine will show the World Cup final live unless "serious new developments occur in Iraq"
