View Full Version : preview It will all come down to tomorrow!!
I know I'm stating the obvious but we win tomorrow, we are there..
Do you think Knighta will mention it non-stop in the pre-match talks?
I am really worried about this game!!
but we win come out with the same intensity as last week we should be alright..
Thoughts?

If we lose then we can still end up as low as 10th by the end of the season. Hawthorn and Port are equal on 36 points with the Hawks 5% ahead of Port. If they beat us next week, they can still make the 8. But if we win tomorrow none of it will matter.
Carn the dons!

The dockers are the most predictable side in the comp!
So i wouldn't be worried ... wait what? :D

Please think of Pick #3;)
If you're going to label this thread a "preview" then at least give the effort of a pre-match writeup.

Freo in tank mode at the moment. If there was any time to play them, it would be now.
After our efforts last week, we deserve this.
Lose to Freo because of a poor effort, suddenly the Hawks game because the fight for the 8th spot. Which is weird, because I've been saying that game would have no bearing on our finals chances this whole time. I hope I'm right.
But I would expect us to take the cake, as there are no excuses.
BRING IT AWN.

I'm shitting myself ahead of tomorrows game. I'm onto my 100th hail mary and our father.
I just hope Pav doesn't put on his superman cape tomorrow, then we'll be in trouble, deep trouble.

Lol, let's just hope he says "it's wharfie time" again. Can't recall the result of that match but if any of our players heard that, it would be even more incentive to win big.
Sorry to stick my bib in here, but, despite the feelings at the time, your draw against us may have turned out to be not such a bad thing. Some people want to get rid of the draw, because they don't know how to feel at the time, and it seems everyone is disconcerted by uncertainty.
This is OUR GAME. It is as it is. It is a good thing to not know what to think, sometimes. For what it's worth, I hope you blokes make it, because I love watching your devil-may-care attack on the footy. Good luck tomorrow.

I reckon we will win but thats what i thought before we played Richmond so i am differently not confident.

I am not confident AT ALL.
I mean, wouldn't it be so easy to get the job done tomorrow night?
Wouldn't it be so great to go to the 'G next week and not be too stressed about the result?
I really hope Freo are smart and make sure they grab pick 3. Not only that but it's then pick 19 and 35 instead of 21 and 37.
Tank you bastards, TANK!!!
Will only see the second half of this, and I don't think it will end well....

The draw was useless to us actually, our percentage is clearly superior to any other teams vying for a spot. A win against your mob means finals are near certain already.

What would the standing of a loss be? Genuinely interested. You know more about your situation than I.

The game 3 weeks ago against a tanking west coast is still too fresh in my mind. All I can see is repeated flashes of Fremantle doing the samething to us.
We'll know if the boys are on 5 mins into the 1st quarter.

good luck guys
i've wanted the bombers to snatch 8th spot, it'll be intense
of course it'll be more epic if you take on the hawks next week for eighth
i'll be there cheering for freo though ;)

Don't worry your mob will beat us today,to much at stake 4 the bombers.Bombers, might have to slightly alter their game plan today, as it is wet and windy here today.

Keep in mind, West Coast went on to beat the Bulldogs. I wouldn't say they were tanking, more like on fire...
They were able to capitalise on our turn overs and keep accurate for most of the game. We were incredibly inaccurate. There were no excuses for that performance.
I think we should have learnt from that experience, and this was shown last week against a fully fit St Kilda. I'm not confident, but I'd expect even more from the boys later on today.
Freo are tanking, 2# is too much to give up for a mesely win that'll get them no where. No excuses.
We'll know if the boys are on 5 mins into the 1st quarter.
We were down by 5 goals in the first 5 minutes last week.
The only challenge will be in the ruck, if we can work that out, then it's all up to us to be honest.

Good luck today ppl . All Essendon need to do is play 4 quarters of intensity to beat us . This has to be treated as a final by your team - you DO NOT want to leave it til next week.

We were down by 5 goals in the first 5 minutes last week.
It was 3 goals but you could see the INTENSITY from the boys, we need the same INTENSITY today.

There was nothing intense about that first quarter, let alone the first 5 minutes to indicate the latter of the game.

What would the standing of a loss be? Genuinely interested. You know more about your situation than I.We'd still be in the 8 as we speak with a 9% lead on Hawthorn, 12 on Port. Port have North at Aami next week so thats a probable win , we play Hawthorn winner takes the spot (provided we lose today), had we beat your lot a spot in the 8 is virtually guaranteed even prior to todays game provided no floggings.
