Jay Neagle is the latest of Essendon’s emerging key position players to commit to the future of the club after signing a new two-year deal this week. The 21-year-old tall forward said he was excited to have penned a deal that will see him wearing the red and black until the end of the 2011 – a time when Essendon hopes to be pushing for a Premiership.

Great news. As soon as this kid gets a tank he's going to be kicking many a goal.

Good news. Well done Jay and Essendon.
NB: I'd format that article pretty quickly with the links etc. if you don't want to be carded.
How long does it take to get a tank? He has 4 years to get fit (don't tell me about the injuries) Also has a turning circle like the Queen Mary.:thumbsd:
go back to the collingwood board :thumbsu: tosser...

Great news for the kid and Essendon. He's worked hard and repaid the faith of Sheedy in giving him a go. Great credit to his mum and no doubt makes Merv very proud too :thumbsu:

How the hell can you get fit when you're unable to run??????? You should be red carded for sheer stupidity

Terrific news for Neagle and Essendon. I'm sure he'll be working exceptionally hard on his tank over the coming pre-season.

Good news.
He's been working very hard on the field and chasing a fair bit. You can see the effort. If he gets a good crack at preseason I reckon he could explode next year.

Great news. He's only flashing in and out of games at the moment, but it's enough to make you think he could be pretty damn good when it all comes together for him.

Merv didn`t have his son`s turning circle, pretty much completely different players.

Talking about Merv, what ever happened to him (the poster)?
Anyway, Jay should be able to make it, all he needs to do is get himself fit and determined. The talent is there, that's for sure.

It's not a criticism, simply a fact. Ben Cousins arcs around as well. It's their power to break free and burst away which makes them so impressive.
All we need to do is sign hurley and gumby up for two more and pray for gumbys body to come good.
From memory didn't Gumby already sign a 2yr deal at the start of the season.
Neagle has talent. I just hope he strings 4 quarters together more often. :D
