Is John Stamos dead?
As for Phil Alley, he will be fondly remembered as being the only player who made Merv Hughes' arse look small.
The Justin Madden of cricket.

Not neccessarily ...
Danny Buckingham and Richard Soule (both Tasmaniacs) had pretty reasonable pie-arses ..
Well his sister was Delta off Gladiators.
I don't understand this post

When I was a kid he played a game for the AIS against some touring Pakistani team in Adelaide. I went up to him after theg ame and asked for his autograph, as he had played shield cricket at the time.
Not sure if his answer was arrogance or just purely unassuming but his response was "yeah sure, but I'm a no -one”.
As that is my only real Phil Alley moment, then I guess it's my favourite.

I remember Phil Alley. Tall Tall Left Arm bowler who played Shieild cricekt for New South Wales. He would have played for NSW in the Shield and one day finals in the 1990's has all the other NSW players were on tour with Australia.

He sounds like a unique individual ... a NSW player who never got selected for the Australian team !!!!
