Didn't Steve Waugh do EXACTLY the same in the Carribean once?
We're quick to label others................

Did he?
That makes Mr Ganguly's action completely acceptable then... please convey my apologies to the new Indian saint ...

I seem to recall Andy Bichel doing the same thing in a recent Adelaide test.
There's a difference betweem appealing, and saying "Hey Bucknor, did it carry, I think it did, but why don't you use that hi-tech replay bizness".
Didn't actually hit the bat either.

No Australian would dare claim a catch that he KNEW wasn't out ! If you don't know why, ring up Greg Dyer for a chat....

I remember Gret Dyer as a Kid in the 1980's. He was the W/K for Australia, is that right. What would Greg Dyer say If were to have a chat with him. I will assume he he claimed he caught someone but it was not a catch. Is that right. Can Someone fill me in

Come on, Bichels appeal was only on the fact of the farcicle situation from an over or two before when either Vaughan or Hussein were given not out when they were out but the video replays were inconclusive.
Bichel's was more a "well why don't you go to the replay and waste our time again" appeal.
I remember Steve Waugh's catch in the Windies of Brian Lara at square leg.
Caught the ball diving but when hit the ground the ball bobbled out on the ground behind him so no one else on the ground could see but was still given out.

BTW, did anyone else think that Gangully looked like the emporer of Bahrain with his dozens of chains on that just dangled around like dogs balls as he jumped up and down.
One HUGE chain even popped out of his shirt that went down to around the base of his sternum :D i thought it was histerrycal (sp?)

Greg Dyer was the keeper immediately prior to Healy.
He juggled a catch and fell face down but away from the stumps. The ball landed on the ground and bounced up where he then gloved it and claimed the catch. I can't actually recall whether the catch was paid but TV picked it all up and from that moment it was back to NSW for Mr Dyer....
