Is that true ???? I heard on Ch10 news that he would only play somewhere else if Victoria didnt offer him a contract, then Ch 7 says Victoria dont look like offering him one.

That's ridiculous - he's just come back from representing the victorious team in the World Cup.

David Hookes is a tosser. I think I've said this before. He should quit it before Victoria fold.

Go the Red Backs.

It a load of crap Harvey is a required player next season and Victoria will offer him a contract. Elliott has just signed for another 2 years and Harvey should sign within the next couple of weeks.

That's right - world class orange-cutters aren't that easy to come by!

:D

The sole World Cup player from Victoria (excluding Shane Warne) and the coach wants him out.

Seems like the WACA isn't alone with Coach-Player issues.

If nothing else, it would mean we wouldn't have to read garbage articles from the Herald Sun suggesting that Harvey should be added to the Test squad!

Actually, I think going to Adelaide is a real opportunity for Harvey -he could become the next Joe Scuderi.

My thoughts exactly Slax, I would be very surprised if Ian Harvey wasn't a required player for Victoria next season and beyond.

First he gets rid of Damien Fleming and a couple of other players and now he gets rid of Ian Harvey.
Hookes makes me sick

So you're saying that Bushrangers will fold soon because of Hookes?

Correct me if i'm wrong, but didnt Victoria come 3rd this year? I think Hookes has done a pretty damn good job with the talent at hand (or should I say, lack of).

Players past their prime actually.

And the only really good player that he got rid of was Flemming and as much as I love the bloke, he didnt exactly set the world on fire for South Australia, So I think Hookes did the right thing there.

He might end like Colin Miller - makes the Aussie Squad but hard to get a game at state level.

I agree - Victoria has a strong pace attack with Inness, Lewis, Harwood, Carr, etc. No great loss in not hanging on to a 33 year old who has hardly played any cricket in the last couple of seasons.

I had that covered already with my "technicalities aside" comment :)

It still would be possible for a state team to fold. Extremely unlikely but you never know. If they ever allowed a New Zealand/South African team to enter they might cut out a team that just makes up the numbers, like say Victoria :p

Well the only reason they went bust is cos they wanted a Pura cup team more money a few int 1 dayers and a test match in the future talk about unrealistic and they wonder why they were booted.
