The champ is back after almost 2 years away from the sport where he has never lost a professional fight. 19th of September in Las Vegas (20th here in Australia). Current odds courtesy of sportingbet:

Mayweather Jr $1.22
Marquez $4.00

Can the 'Pretty Boy' take off from where he left off or will Marquez, who took the Pacman the distance twice, win in an upset even fighting with 9 pounds more than he has ever fought before?

Floyd $1.22? I thought he would be around $1.05!

Marquez is a brilliant technician, and a joy to watch. But the move up in weight, and the fact that he's fighting another defensive genius with advantages in perhaps every department, says to me he might struggle to even last the distance.

I really hope Marquez wins, but I'm going with Floyd by TKO, corner stoppage in the 10th.

It's a real shame that Main Event are showing this on delay 3 days later in Australia, due to them already comitting to a UFC event. It actually has a decent undercard for once.

Due to Floyd being the naturally bigger man i can see him being a bit more agressive than usual (has to be careful as Marquez is a great counter-puncher), Will probably trouble Marquez with his power and expect a late fight stoppage.

Did anyone watch the Mayweather vs Marquez 24/7 episode with Marquez drinking his own urine? Very bizarre.

Mayweather may talk a lot of shit, but he was on the money when he said something along the lines of: "If you're fit then you're fit...no need to drink your own piss."

Nah it wont be shown live on Main Event. When the fight was re-scheduled it was on a day when Main Event had already commited to a UFC event. They are showing it in on Tuesday for a reduced price ($30 I think). Sky channel are showing it live so you should be able to find a pub that is showing it.

Sounds like Mayweather was a class above. Had a pretty big weight advantage from the sound of things. Have to wait till Tuesday so i can have a look.

Managed to watch the first and the final four rounds after i lost my first feed for a while. Floyd didn't really looked troubled at all and didn't look like he had a graze on him after the fight. Not sure the final results but it presume it was very one sided.

Mayweather v Manny, MAKE IT HAPPEN!!

Easy up crusier pac-man has to beat cotto first. Pac-man in my opinion was destroyed by marquez and look what floyd did to him. Im thinking Cotto wil beat pac-man thus setting up cotto vs floyd.

good call F Soyer.

Pac man will beat Cotto though and then fight Floyd Jr.

Floyd will beat Manny Pac in my opinion should they eventually meet..

When does Cotto fight Manny Pac?
