I don't care for many people in Hollywood, but Swayze just came across as such a down-to-earth guy, you couldn't help but admire him (even if you didn't like his films or acting). He was just one of those stars who, despite being a sex symbol, lived his life quietly, without fanfare or scandal or trying to be an attention seeker.

It was very sad watching his deterioration over the last couple of years.

Big Loss for the Movie Industry this Guy was a Genuine Talent and very down to Earth who never had a bad word to say about anyone. He was the sort of person that never got a big head and attitude from his fame and the Movie Industry needs more people like Patrick. Loved all his movies and he excelled in every role he played.

Gone way to soon. :(

I caught a glimpse of that cop show maybe a year before he died and he looked pretty healthy, sad to see him looking so frail since then - shows how fast cancer can deterioriate someone :(

have't seen it for over 20 years but from what i recall patricks older brother role only featured intermitantly in the storyline

I really liked Ghost and how is the fact that, this movie put the Righteous Bros No1 hit from the 60's Unchained Meldoy back in the charts where it hit No.1 again 35 or so years after it's original release. Amazing.

I paid tribute to the great man by watching Road House on Foxtel last night :thumbsu:

He seemed like a really good guy, and it's a shame he's passed away at what is still a relatively young age.
