Contrary to what I first thought, I seriously cant believe this kid is on our rookie list. He hasnt played a senior game for Norwood yet and what I saw of him Friday night was absolutely sh*thouse. He had two kicks (one of which resulted in that goal) but the other was this helicopter wobbly thing that went about a mile and a half into the air. All the other times when he had open space and players leading in our forward 50 he could have kicked to them but he opted for the soft handball option which nearly always resulted in a turnover. He's still backing out of marking contests and I put that down to a confidence thing.. he doesnt seem to have much!

Scott (Borlace) is going to keep pushing for that spot on our senior list and if Joel keeps going the way he is then he'll be stuck in the reserves and off the rookie list at the end of this year. Borlakka has the talent to go all the way - he has a slight hammy twang at the moment but that should clear up soon.

Hmm we dont have a lot left over do we.

Gilham must have been delighted to see 35 goals fly over his head in his first SANFL game (16 straight in the last quarter, ouch). Morgan would be used to it.

So he had an off game. You cant be a star every week. By your theory Brett Ebert is lucky to be on our list considering more than half of his kicks last year grubbed along the ground.

I dont see why it is a problem that he hasnt played a senior game yet.

How did Gilham go?
On the face of it, 13 disposals, 2 marks doesn't seem like a bad contribution. From what I have seen/heard of him during pre-season, I have high hopes on the kid, and wouldn't be surprised if he got a game or two this year, irrespective of his body size.

And Daniel Schell kicked 6 of them in one quarter.

The fortunes of our two clubs have shifted a bit over the last 12 months

Long way to go yet though.

Gilham played well, not intimidated in the first half, shows a good footy brain, good pickup for us. Morgs looks to need a little time after his injury, did`nt really move too well.
By the grace of God we were watching (guzzling) at the southern end of the ground, a couple of Doggie boys were relaying the scores, so we drank heavier & ignored them, fcuk what else can you do. What a start to the season, no smoking in any part of the clubrooms, ressies clubbed, lost the legends game, siren broke down (used a cowbell) & then that last quarter.
Don`t know what to do next Saturday.........................................

YES I DO, FRONT UP AGAIN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
