He was one of the stars of "Laugh In" but afterwards became a terrific character actor. Some great turns in Robert Altman's films (most notably in "Nashville") and in films such as "The Blues Brothers" in which he played the head Nazi.

Most recently he was Judge Clark Brown in "Boston Legal".

I always enjoyed his appearances and will sadly miss him from our screens, large and small.

Chicago nazi party loses on of the best. He was also in wedding crashers as well.

I first remember him as Private Leonard "Wrongo" Starr on F-Troop. Then he used to read those silly poems on Laugh-In. :D

I never watched Boston Legal, but from what I have read I could imagine the type of judge he played. :p

Sad to hear of his passing, I always enjoyed his work in the many roles I saw him play over the years.
