what rookies do you guys think will make it this year??? i'm not actually too sure, but i think kluver is an outstanding talent. i'm still pondering why they let ben doherty go though. surely he would match it with some of the guys they drafted this year.
cheers

I would suggest that you ask Keatings-gal or Beausgirl43 about that. They should be able to give you a pretty comprehensive round up of how they are going, seeing as they never (or hardly ever) miss a training session!
Okay i can give you a rundown on them all
Kluver: outstanding junior footballer, became a professional baseballer, showed promise last season, had not played for four years, played all his juniors as a full forward so this year is a big one for him as he needs to show more further up the field though he has the ability to do so.
Maplestone:Outstanding talent, 195cm with tremendous speed and natural athletiscm, ability to take big pack marks and do the freaky things in football, skills need work but he is only in his third season of football, could be the big improver.
Copeland:Silky skills hard at it player with a lot of natural ability has made australian rep honours.
Luke Weller:fast hard at it footballer, explosive speed and solid skills,
Clinton Alleway:Tall player in the 190s he has exceptional athleticsm, has great work ethic, was going to go to port adelaide in the sanfl last season but the lions convinced him to stay by offering him a spot on the rookie list mid season.
Tom Tarrant:super fit and hard at it defender, good running ability with the desire to make it at the top level. Won't be intimidated by anyone Tarrant shows respect for his opponents but will do anything to beat them.
so what are your tips acuguy?
Maplestone, if he dedicates himselfto improve the basics is my tip to be the big impact player, but saying that he could easily just drop of the face of the earth he is that sort of bloke.

well I think danni is right Beausgirl & i know them pretty well. I think that He is pretty much right about David.....he will be good. Luke Weller will just get better as he is a hard working guy. Clinton is a very dedicated guy, good mark & kick as well. Tommy Racks up possessions ans nobody else notices....just like Shaun Hart & Nigel Lappin.i think he deserves more recognition than he gets. Robbie copeland could just go on forver but i think he just needs a bit more but being around the seniors will push him as it will the others to be the best they can be. I know that Richard & ashley aren't on the rookie list but i think that lions have made a great decision by picking them both. Richars just keeps on running he is always at the ball. Ashley is a lil Terrier...alot like Lil Stevie Kenna....he is in there & he takes down guys twice the size of him like Beau & SUPERMAN!!!!!
ooohhhhhh aaaahhhhhhhhhh ASH MCGRATH i said OOooooooohhhhhh aaaaaahhhhhhhh Ash McGrath.
Jamie is also going to be great as he has a footy brain & a good frame......he's the same as Dylan. They are like the best! Beausgirl will tell you it all as well

Clint is da man! He went to my school!!!! and he's my friends bro!
Good to see Tom Tarrant might get a run in new zealander, knowing tommy he would be wanting to show everyone that he is just as good if not better then the blokes that were drafted ahead of them. If he gets the chance he will do very well.
And i would just like to say that this board is fast becoming a farce, it is terrible that you have to go back seven pages to find a topic that is interesting, less is more, quality not quantity people
