Are there any players, past or present that you wish never played for either Bears/Fitzroy or the current Brisbane Lions.

I think the number one big dud for the brisbane lions would have to be David Calthorpe, what where they thinking?

I'm hoping Jarrod does just that!
I hope he plays against Mal Michael and kicks 10 goals on the day!

I'm with you Ally, I hope he sticks it right up us, as long as we still win.

And I hope none of the Brisbane fans boo him too, he doesn't deserve that.

If all the lions fans gave him a good reception imagine the way that would play on his mind http://www.bigfooty.com/ubb/cool.gif

Pure psychological warfare! He would get nervous and not understand, thinking he wasn't playing well or something. Hmmmmmm interesting approach joshem.

But Danni, tell me how we are going to tell 40,000 ppl to support one player from the opposition http://www.bigfooty.com/ubb/smile.gif

For those fitzroy supporters....Jeff Hogg springs to mind!

Joshem,
If he gets a good reception from the lions fans he'll be absolutely stoked, but it's not going to phase him one iota or play on his mind at all!

joshhem

I dunno.....it may make him regret leaving when he was still wanted....either way his mind would be racing don't ya think??

seeing jarrod in a black and white jersey... it's awful even to think about it, ít's not because it's the pies (i could defintely think of worse http://www.bigfooty.com/ubb/wink.gif), more that it's not a lions jersey.

i don't think he will be booed at all, it will be interesting to see the reception that he does get.

excuse me?

who was in the paper before Christmas saying he enjoyed the sunshine too much up in Brisbane & played too much golf! i.e. too lazy. none other than Molloy. he dosent deserve sympathy, but a good kick in the bum.

there has been some thinking going around btwn his besotted followers that the club shafted him which imo is daft. I know love is blind, but can't you guys get over it.

he chose to leave & thus deserves to incur the displeasure of all of us who choose to boo him.

Adrian Ftetcher - I cringe every time I see him racking up possessions for the Dockers. I wish he had turned out to be a dud for them.

I know we got Luke Poweras a result, but I am greedy I want them all!

how can the bears go past Warwick Capper!

the legend goes -

apparently the other players were jealous of his salary package & did not pass the ball to him, thus ostracising him from the team & the rest is history

You have aired my thoughts exactly!!! I remember him and his wife (Joanne??) at a B&F at Jupiters casino - oh my god, that performance was even worse there than it ever was on the field - imagine how bad it was! Nightmare city!!

Yeah Warwick and Joanne Capper...another pair for the 'couples who look like eachother' file. So that's the Cappers along with Lleyton Hewitt and his girlfriend.

If I had to choose one, it would be Adam Heuskes, sure the guy played some great games for us, but IMO, he brought WAY too much negative publicity to the club.

heuskes for sure. at first it seemed like he was such a positive addition to the club, but by the end he was such a distraction. not to mention all the bad publicity.

Ally,

What is the full & correct story?

I dislike it when people put up posts of this nature the "if only you knew" sort.

I am sorry I dont have inside info, I just go on what I see. I quoted his own words from an article which basically said he was lazy during his time in Brisbane. Fairly straightforward I think.

Lets hear your story...

I don't want to forget Adam OOGA.
I thought he was a champion player and a nice guy.

Ben Robbins.
Why the hell is he still in our team. A complete dud.

Wait and see Homer. He will get a big increase in game time this year (with Lambert gone), and he's a very underrated in-and-under type player. Sure, he is small, but his skills in close are VERY good. Mark my words........
