just heard on channel 10 news that goody has a bit of knee soreness- but looks as if he might play at this stage, even if he doesnt make the main training session.

I watch the sport on all 3 channels - interestingly only 10 mentioned the injuries. I am not too concerned, I think Goody and Smarty will both get up for this week. I don't see much problems here.

If they don't train on Wednesday's main session, they will miss. If both miss Gallagher and Massie seem logical replacements.;)

Not so sure how credible they are on this.

If there is any doubt and they don't train tommorow then don't play them. Its only round 2. Think of the bigger picture Crows;)

Ch 10 - the Carey watch Channel, and home of all invented Adelaide dramas. Every week, we have player after player in doubt, with no mention on 7 or 9. And the alleged injured player on 10 not only plays but trains too.
Does Choco write the script on a wish basis for Ch 10?? ;)

Goody is one of our better players at recovering from injuries / managing niggles, so it would have to be pretty serious for him to miss this week. Somehow I think it is very unlikely & he will be lining up against the Saints.

Just heard Goody on 5aa, he said that he will definetly play. It only a bruised knee and he was given some time to make sure he gets over it.
Personally O don't think we need to risk him at this stage especially since we have a few good back ups in good form in SANFL. Last time we played Saints Gags was BOG. Burns is another possibility and he would free Bode and Ladhams to play more onball

i didn't see him today at training, but they interviewed him on channel 10 news when he was at the motor show, saying that he's still hoping to play.
Channel 7 said Goodwin and Carey both left the track early for precautionary reasons but neither are in doubt.

They said Roo and Carey left the track early. Goody didn't train at all this week. As I said he was on 5aa and he said he has a bruised knee thats been troubling him for a couple of weeks, so they decided to rest him during the week to get it right.
I still think he will get named and if he trains on Friday, then he wil play otherwise I think either Gallagher or Burns come in for Goodwin.

Heard Goody too, Stiffy!! He'll play. According to Goody everyone including Smarty will be available.
Not that there's any lack of players waiting to get into the team.
Watched the crows show on Fox tonight and robran said there were 5 outstanding Crow players in the SANFL pressing for selection.
Gallagher
Massie
Burns
Schell
Shirley
Had a great segment on the show with Massie and Reilly who live in the same house interviewing each other, with the whole purpose being to see how they live where they live, their likes in food and music etc.
Really enjoyed that.

Interesting!!!!!! I never would have put Schell and "outstanding" in the same sentence.:D :D :D :D :D :D
All those players you mentioned (including Schell) had good games in SANFL. I feel one ommision is Trent "rooboy" Hentschel.
I was never really worried about Smarty because he played the game out on Sunday against freo. Goody should be fine but in case he doesn't play who would you bring in macca23, Burns or Gallagher??????;)

That's what I should have said Stiffy - that they had outstanding games, because that's what Robran said!!! :D
Agreed that Hentschel deserved to be mentioned in that group, but he couldn't really be put into the group challenging for a spot with the way that our 3 key forwards are firing at the minute. His chance will come later.
If Goody doesn't play, I would probably go for Burns, but starting on the bench, as reserve fire power for up forward. Goody's absence and Burn's selection would give Ladhams and Reilly more playing time, whereas the selection of Gallagher just keeps the mid-field playing time pretty limited for these players.

I would go for Gallagher (i'm biased)!!!!!! Not only that, I would start him on the wing and let him show us what he can do. Last time he played against Saints he was BOG. Who could forget that exciting display that he topped of with 2 goals.
Blood Reilly like we did Stiffy last year. Groom Ladhamsas a crumbing forward who is equally effective in midfield. I just think Gallagher's speed will find St. Kilda out a bit. Let Burns earn his jumper with a few good games in SANFL:D

A big thank you must go the Centrals midfielders (and the North boys who did stuff all to stop em!!!) for Dan's form.
Dan was good early in defence. He provided some good run up the ground and took some hangers. They threw him forward in the last and well...6 in a quarter! The Doggies just kept getting the pill...unbelievable stuff.
No 50 for the Doggies in the reserves may be one to watch in the future too...
