Shane Watson was originally named in the side, but had to pull out with an injury. Is he entitled to any of the payments, even if he didnt actually play any games?- i know that Shane Warne was.

I read in the paper, originally coming from the Telegraph I think, that Hauritz pocketed a sweet sum of around $230,000. Not bad for a holiday in South Africa, but as always it would only be speculation.

I doubt Watson would have gotten any. He was scrubbed out before the tourny started.

It's probably close to the mark. Might be closer to $300,000 than $200,000.

Hauritz and Bracken got a proportional share for the amount of time they were over there. So did Warne, who I think got around $15,000. I imagine Gillespie was on a similar system, but I'd be surprised if Watson got a cent.

I know Gillespie and Bracken split between them what one player who played the full tournament would have got, Gillespie getting slightly more because of being there for more games.

I thought it was mentioned in the paper that Watson might get a slice of the money because he was an original member.

I would hope Gillespie got more for playing more games too.

How much did they get for going over there like a base 360000 wasn't it not including bonuses.

Even though Watson was named in the squad I doubt he would have received a slice of the pie.

I thought the deal was they'd simply split prize money??? Seems extravagant to give them big base payments PLUS a share of $3million!!!
