What a great win by the Brisbane Monkeys on the weekend! Stirling stuff boys! Ah, damnit. There I go calling them the Monkeys again. Everyone knows there called the Bears. Gotta get it right!
Err, wait a second, didn't I hear someone call them the 'Lions' a while ago? Must be wrong. Weren't the Lions killed out in '96? Or at least popular opinion has it that way. (Never mind the fact that the FFC still exists!).
Then again, perhaps Brisbane don't have a nickname after all. I mean, just have a look at the name of this board for instance. "Brisbane Board". There! That says it all! Shite! I wonder what the hell I must have been thinking! Posting in a board for Brisbane supporters.

"Norm put a hand under his cardigan and produced a fixture card, studied it through his thick smudged lenses. 'Says here,' he said 'next week St.Kilda plays Brisbane.'
'After Brisbane, there's another word,' said Stan. 'Lions. L-I-O-N-S. Brisbane Lions.'
Norm folded the card and put it away. 'Don't say that on my card. And it never bloody will.'
