View Full Version : Some Essendon DFL questions
I live close to a number of EDFL grounds, yet I have only ever been to one home and away match. That happened a number of years ago. I always promise myself that I will get to some games, but in the end, I never manage to do so. So I am interested in finding out your opinions on the following questions.
What is the best and worst Essendon DFL ground in the league as far as parking, social club facilities ect are concerned?
Which ground is the largest in the league? Which ground is the smallest in the league?
Which club do you love and hate the most?
Do you have any problems with the North Coburg, and West Coburg football clubs?

I would have to say that The best ground is Keilor ground for playing conditions and facilities. Keilor also has a decent set of lights and play the pre comp there. Oak Park social rooms is good as well.
The worst ground will have to be West Coburg and North Coburg grounds. West Coburg becuase of the ground is a sqaure at the wings, and North Coburg because the ground is too small. The worst ground for conditions would have to be Greenvale.Parking most grounds have not got enough car park spaces so you have to park in the Streets and sometimes there is parking restrictions and can get fined.
No Problems with North Coburg as the best they can do is win 2 games and most teams increase there % when they play North Coburg saints and no problem for West Coburg

North Coburg have moved from their postage stamp - they are now playing at Hosken Reserve in Merlynston.
I haven't seen all the grounds for some time - some never (ie Greenvale and Taylors Lakes).
Two clubs to stay away from - and I'm biased here because I hate their guts - Keilor and Airport West. As good as Keilor's home ground might be they are a bunch of arrogant fools who don't respect visiting supporters - even neutral ones like me!!
Airport West aren't much better in that regard.
On grounds, personally I like Strathmore and Avondale Heights. Doutta's OK. Oak Park's not bad. I was never keen on Aberfeldie's ground. Keilor Park's out in the sticks so to speak. Moonee Valley's another OK one. I agree that West Coburg is ordinary. Pascoe Vale is another OK one. That's all I can remember as I haven't been to any other grounds that I can think of.
I don't have a car so I can't comment on parking.
