The Club is screening on the ABC at 11.30pm next Thursday night.
Well worth watching if you haven't seen it - a movie based on a David Williamson play. Looks at the inner sanctum of a footy club in a way that no one else ever has.
Also features some cameos from Rene Kink and a few other players.
It was John Howard's (the actor) big break.

By the way does anyone know how to spell Ronnie Wearmouth? Have I got the correct spelling?

Fantastic.

I acted and directed the play version of 'The Club' for our school's House drama festival last year.

It was a shame though because the rules said we could only go for 20 minutes. So I had to do the dreadful task of cutting out content. Very hard thing as the whole piece is such a brilliant play.

We got 5th out of 12 and I got a dramatic excellence trophy (called a keepsake goblet) for my performance as Ted Parker ;)

Was it ever.
He was great in it as Geoff Hayward.

As was Jack Thompson as Laurie.

Anyone that has never seen it, please do.
The production values are a tad dodgy but still a very entertaining footy film.

Cameos also from Lou Richards and Scotty Palmer.
