Koula was BOG for Westies with 30+ stats playing in the midfield, I think he kicked 3 goal too.
Hopefully we see him dragged away form Westies in the next few weeks to a club that will give him a go. I reckon he had more chance of a league game with Borchard than with Rehn.
I flicked onto the Centrals game briefly yesterday afetrnoon and seen Schoey kick a nice goal, he seemed to run alright but was no stand out, not far away though.

I only got 21 disposals for Koula... paper says he kicked two goals but I had 3...
He does need to move clubs and he still needs time out as I don't think he's fully recovered and looked in pain yesterday.

Yeah I never saw the game and haven't read todays paper. I was only going on what someone said last night. Never heard he looked injured, he wasn't the point of discussion and the topic came up about Luke Jericho who is with the Crows and I asked about Koula, it was surprising to hear a West supporter to talk about the way it's wrong for his club not giving him a lot of a go. He mentioned that if the SANFL clubs feel used up by the AFL teams why recruit such players in the mini-draft which is a good point.
Hey I hope he makes the best of it this year, He was a first round pick so I still have faith in him.

*nods* that's koul. I went yesterday specifically to see him and Splinter and Morgs(in the seniors) and it was painful to see him. He was playing in the centre a lot which I don't think he's done for quite a few years (I think the last time was 2000, since then he's played mostly on the wing and on the half-back line).
He seemed to be holding his right arm strangely and pulled back from a couple of marks, and he fell after a kick in the 2nd quarter and was limping after, eventually took himself off about 6 or 7 mins before the end of the 4th. I don't think Westies particularly like him that much - and so many good players left last year it's insane that he wouldn't be given a go in the seniors, yet I have a feeling he'll stay in the ressies.
The SANFL really needs to bring in a tenth club where ALL the AFL players go, or allow the Power and the Crows to have a designated reserves side. Otherwise Adelaide footy will go to the dogs.
I was there as well watching Westies and saw the second half of the reserves. To be honest he looked like he was blowing a bit but he was running all over the ground. He got a few touches while I was there but wouldn't have been the best. But that's not for me to determine.
He shouldn't be given an automatic ride into the league team however I think he is a good chance to play league in a couple of weeks. We debuted 4 or 5 under agers yesterday however another somewhat experienced player around the ball would be good. I don't think it's an AFL player issue either, Cassisi and Shuback from the Crows were both given a good run by Borchard. After seeing both the A's and B's on Saturday I'm feeling confident for Westies and thus confident for Koula. He's gonna have a better shot in a winning side.
