View Full Version : Movie The worst movie of 2009 has arrived
...And the winner is Surrogates, congratulations Surrogates.
Only highlight was watching the film in gold class and ordering these Spanish cinnamon doughnuts with a chocolate dipping sauce. Usually gold class food is over priced dross, but my god these doughnuts were good, and the combination with the chocolate sauce was indescribable.... would highly recommend. :thumbsu: Was also quite the laugh when one of the waitresses (on her first day mind you) fell down the aisle and some guy's chicken meal went flying all over the cinema. :D

yep, gotta love the shark jumping out of the water hundreds of feet into the air and biting a plane in half. So bad it's good
mega-shark vs Aeroplane = oscar worthy (best clip i could find --- would've been good without the dodge comments over the top of it)

I think I saw it on the new release shelf at Video Ezy last week.
The flying of the 747 looks neat until the shark appears.
Anywho, the 'Surrogates' trailer from a month back looked very impressive.

Yes I have certainly watched Mega shark vs Giant Octopus. I actualy usually like movies that are so bad that that there good but this went to another level.

Looks pretty damn good and you would think a battle of epic proportions is on the cards. Well you were wrong.
The idiot characters dont realise that they should make them fight each other until 3/4 of the way into the movie. And then when they do fight it lasts maybe 3 minutes, 5 minutes max.
And then they both die having killed each other apparently, which was odd because to me it looked like the octopus had absolutely destroyed the shark
In the end I was just hoping the characters in the film would at least get eaten because I absolutely hated them by the end.
The plane bit is hilairious, along with the shark taking out the golden gate bridge.
Stupidly though they dont bother to show the octopus destryoing anything, They just say on screen "Yes the octopus wreaked a lot of havoc in Japan" but dont show anything at all.
But yeah have a look if your keen, I downloaded it. I think I may have seen it in video stores more recently
Anywho, the 'Surrogates' trailer from a month back looked very impressive.
'The Happening' also had an impressive looking trailer... trailer's can be misleading... very misleading.

Large monsters with tentacles wreaking havoc in Japan almost always turns out to be an epic win*

I wish I found this thread a couple of days ago. Surrogates was just plain awful.
But know i have to go hire Mega Shark Vs Giant Octupus :)

I seriously LOL'd at the part where he randomly goes "I'm getting married in two days" then sits back down and stares ahead. Was this just meant to be lazy characterization? Geeze, you don't say you're getting married when a stewardess that foine talks to you.

My brother and I saw it in the new release section at Video Ezy, had a chuckle and talked about how it'd be so stupid that it'd be enjoyable.
Now that I've seen this clips of it it's a must see!
