Nice to see Matty Hayden getting into a bit of form after a somewhat disappointing World Cup.

Another classic Hadyen/Langer start! I will never get sick of watching those two together.

We have set them about 425 to get on the last day

Gilly and the bowlers batted at 1-5 in the second innings with Boof coming in at 6 to make 42

About 8 for 180 at stumps

We bowled them out in their first innings for not much

Hogg took 4-23 and a couiple to Gillespie and MacGill

Dizzy came through ok which was the main thing

Looks like Love will bat at 4 in the Test.

pfffft.

Perhaps when India come out next season we can put them up against Fitzroy-Doncaster 3rds...

That's about the equivelant of opposition we are against.

Err...not a great 3rd day.

West Indies ended up at 6/402

they completely blasted the spinners

Hoggy had figures of 5/50 at one stage but finished with 5/112

and MacGill had figures of 1/126

and some bloke named N Deonarine made 141 n.o.

and another bloke named CS Baugh made 115 n.o.

They better bowl better from thursday and onwards.

If Hogg is the best we can do for a spinner, then I think four pacemen is the go.

Read a news report that Gilla got belted in the head with a cricket ball during their 2nd innings. I think that'd be a fair excuse.

Perhaps, but he could have been shaken up by it all.

He was clearly the best of our bowlers in this match, and deserves a spot in at least the 1st Test. If he gets spanked then run with four quicks, but I don't think Noffke is ready for test cricket.
