Don't like to say I told you so, especially when I haven't, but having Shaun Burgoyne in the midfield instead of stuck in a pocket was a revelation. With his type of play it gives him greater access to the goals because he's running into them, not leading away from them, and he's got great handling skills to grab and deliver the ball. Innacuracy plagued him, as everyone, and there were some howlers, but he still scored 3.3. And one of those was a 55-metre bomb that brought us back into the match. The beauty of that goal was he only had to be on the end of a midfield contest that spewed the ball out, he didn't have to depend on one of our midfield players getting into the clear and putting a good pass to him.

Ive said in the past that i think he will end up on a wing quite permanantly. I wonder how he would go taking over from Francous spot. I reckon he'd do alright.

I can see both Junior Burger and Salopek benefitting from Francou's unfortunate injury by getting more time on the ball.

True, but I hope Junior stays in the midfield after Francou's return. He could be a wing, ruck-rover or attacking half-back.

By that time he will be entering his 3rd season and I doubt he would be used as a floating forward............his first season there was to get used to the style of game whilst this year we will see him in a number of roles........
