Seeing as how we're all Chris Barrie fans, what's the general feeling about "The Brittas Empire"?

I though this show was a scream, does anyone know if it's still in production?

Yes, I'm a BIG Chris Barrie fan, but I dunno if its in still in production. He's in another sitcom. Its on UKTV. (by the way, I'm not thinking about Red Dwarf.)

Yeah Im a big Chris Barrie fan aswell. The Brittas Empire is a very funny show but his Rimmer character is the best by far. But I am an avid Brittas Empire watcher.

Anybody catch Barrie in Tomb Raider? He is in the sequel too. Thought it was classic when he got out that shotgun and starting shooting the baddies.

I thought Tomb Raider wasted Chris Barrie. It would have been a great opportunity for him to ham it up as the butler, but instead they gave him all of 3 lines.

In regards to Brittas Empire, it was good but I guess I find the painfully embarassing humour type to be a bit...well painful.

Yes but it has to be good for his career.... from small UK sitcoms that are more cult programs than actually popular to a small role in a huge Hollywood 100 million dollar action movie extravaganza. Coming back for the sequel is a good sign and I hear he gets more screen time this time round.

Yep, agree with you there. Hopefully CB will crack into the movie industry, I could see him in Bond films acting as a comic relief character etc.

Chris Barrie is a very fine character actor. His best cameo was in Blackadder3 as the 'filthy revolutionary' in the french embassy-"I have kidnapped the ambassador and turned his liver into, 'ow do you say, pate."

Brittas was a great show. Colin Weatherby was the best character.
