Sarwan has a broken finger, Gayle dropped. In are Hinds and Ganga. Suprised Gayle was dropped although he did have an ordinary WC.

Without Sarwan the ODI's are now a no contest - he was one of 2 guns for their team (along with Lara), which is all you need to cause an upset in ODI's.
Wouldn't have made much of an impact on the tests.
nah they will be ok there got a lot of good young batsmans coming through
Sarwan was a complete passenger - Agit Agarkar style - last time the West Indies played Australia anyway. This could be a good thing.

Totally disagree.
Sarwan is a valuable player and a confident persistant one at that.
The guy is a great player that is exciting to watch and important the Windies.
I was looking forward to seeing the bloke.

Gayle was not dropped, he was ineligible to play because he did not play for Jamaica in the domestic final.
"The WICB said at the time that according to their rules a player must be available for their country in any match immediately prior to a West Indies game to be eligible for selection for the team. "
He is eligible now to play the rest of the series.

Bull**** !!!! He was dropped, if not technichally, its the same as saying Clarke or Love was ineligible if they didnt play in the Pura Cup game final, regardless of whether he played in a double wicket comp or not. If he is available, in form, and is among the best 11 in the country, he should have been picked.

You seem to forget the situation with Desmond Haynes 8 years ago. The Gayle decision did not set a precedent.

Well why hasnt he been picked for the 2nd Test. ????? As I understand it, the "ban" has now been lifted. Its simple. He was dropped because he decided to play in the double wicket comp instead of Jamacia, and the selectors it would seem have not forgiven him
