Being from Sydney makes following Lions pretty hard in terms of live games.
Where is everyone here from?
Got to see Carey up close the other week, partying hard here. Didn't get delisted hey?
Why the hell not??!!

Don't be such sooks .... postcodes mean nothing!
I live at Birkdale - which hails just south and east of Brisbane itself (takes 35 mins to drive to the city)
I see we have people from Carina/Camp Hill and Wynnum areas .... I used to live in both areas.
At Wynnum I was just across the road from the golf course. And at Camp Hill I lived just behind the little Catholic school on top of the hill (the bus goes right past there)

I am at Coorparoo, just up the road from the training ground, which mind you I was at yesterday and looks absolutely fantastic. You would never believe it is the same surface compared to 2 years ago!

Hey Wynnum girl .... directions to my old joint .... along Wynnum road to the golf club, left into A--- St, then left again into B------ St. Hints about you ? You a local girl, or an "emmigrant" to the area like me ?
Danni ... that was my "stomping ground" as a kid. Went to school at Coorparoo High next door, and played juniors (U/14 - colts) there when Gibbo and Dunstall were playing there .... no years given! (Also played league during this time, thus my school marks were up the spout!). Yes, played many games on ye old Giffin Oval. It certainly is different .....
(aaaaaaah ..... what an era ..... premiers in '84 when we crapped all over Morningside, then belted Southport in '86 ..... ha ha ha )

Yeah ... I know exactly where.
This also means that you were/are a couple of years older than me. Gibbo's younger brother Chris used to play 1-2 years above his age group in my teams .... I always thought Chris should have made the jump, but discovered piss and women.
Did you go to CSHS as well ?

Anyway, that's what I reckon ........

I am from the morningside area, i too was at the coorparoo vs morningside 84gf that was dunstall's last game for the club. I went through and played all my junior footy with brett voss, so i was glad to see him go to a club where he will get a great opportunity, i was also there in a preseason game when morningside a grade flogged coorparoo by three hundred points, that was a good day.

Win all the preseason games you like .... the '84 GF was a special!!!
When was that first goal you blokes kicked .... a minute before three-quarter time, wasn't it ? http://www.bigfooty.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
The only problem was that the 'Roos had already banged 17 through ..... ha ha ha

Played for Yeronga (aka South Brisbane) back in 90/91 I think (?) .... ponced around in their second division sides ....
ACTUALLY my photo is on the club wall in the 2nd Reserves (slow bastards grade!) premiership side the year we brawled our way over the top of Springwood.
Do you know "big Hatchy" ???? He was a junior coach of mine at Coorparoo then seniors at Yeronga .... yechhh! .... they'll always be South Brisbane to me!

Don't knock Walla, Brucey, that's Mad Dog Morgan territory (the bushranger, not the cat).
I live near Caulfield Racecourse in Melbourne, in my humble abode that I entitle Carnegie Hell (3163).
Prior, I lived in South Oakleigh near junk food corner (3167).
Before that, I was in East Hawthorn, next to the Coles-Myer building (3123).
Back when I first arrived in Melbourne, I was in Ripponlea, right next door to the synagogue (3183).
But all of my youth, I was in Marnoo (carn the Nooers (dec)) about an hour's drive north of the Grampians (3187).
Only played one year of footy, in the ressies for Cheltenham (3192).
(There was this nifty postcode program at work, so a few years ago I flogged a copy).

Then there's nothin' wrong with the place. It's got a pub and a footy club. It already qualifies as a town. Now it just needs a CWA and an annual field day & tractor pull, and yer on yer way to prominence :-)
