those magpie fans just need to get back to the real world that essendon is now the biggest club in victoria, and we dont need to do advertising to get members.

and when u win 2 games at the start of the yr it doesnt mean u have won the flag also... ur thoughts?

Well, as of right now, they're on top of the ladder, and we're in shambles. I think we might have some work to do.

Ok it may be early days in the season but from where I sit the Bombers aren't looking too crash hot especially being defeated by the Wooden Spooners of last year..... :D :D :D

Maybe you do need to because you are definitely lagging this year.

I don't really care about the number of members. Well I do obviously because it helps the club, but I don't really care about winning the "membership premiership" and what have you.

I care about on-field. But crackig 37 000 is obviously nice.

Actually, I have a newfound respect for Collingwood. Did I just say that? Doesn't mean I like them any more than I used to (meh, still hate them), but they have worked hard to get to where they are.

As for members...well, we had our go at the top. Number of members is, a lot of the time, an indication of the team's performance - not an indication of how 'good' a club is - so it really doesn't worry me. I'm a member, and that's what matters to me.

But I agree with Stealth. We can hardly laugh; they are sitting on top of the ladder and we have some real work to do.
