Oram retires from Test cricket

Jacob Oram has announced his retirement from Test cricket but will continue to play one-day and Twenty20 matches for New Zealand. Oram cited his ongoing injury problems as the reason behind his decision and he hoped that by cutting back his workload he would be able to extend his international career.More... correct me if i'm wrong, but he really didn't do a hell of a lot at test level anyway did he?

correct me if i'm wrong, but he really didn't do a hell of a lot at test level anyway did he?He did enough for New Zealand, but unfortunately missed a lot due to chronic injuries.

Averaged 36 with the bat and 33 with the ball. While they are not world class figures they are certainly respectable.

Was an important cog in the NZ side and is a shame that injuries have forced his hand.

really struggled in IPL 2 and the past recent year, not sure if he can get [back to the best we know
