Is anyone fearing a backlash from channel seven for not getting the rights to the 2002 season?
Channel seven have proven on a number of occasions their pettiness and child-like behave before, especially with Queensland viewers, during the footbal season. Feeling that a dead rubber in the Davis Cup is more important than a game of football that may decide the positioning in the finals.
My only hope is that channel seven does the right thing and shows QLDers their fair share of football, and doesn't resort back to 2:30 in the morning replays of games, in spite of the fact they don't have to strive to pick up the TV rights for the following season.
yeah you realise guys that ch7 isn't going to want to convert anyone to AFL, because they know if they do, they will loose even more future viewers........It makes them think doesn't it??
i hadn't thought of that, surely the coverage couldn't get much worse...
1. not play the already delayed telecasts of night games
2. delay day games an hour just for the sake of it
3. pretend there is no pre-season comp
ohhh....that's right, they already do that!

send Ch 7 an email saying that you will not ever ever watch any Ch 7 program again. boycott the entire station.
that will hurt them, knowing that Blue Heelers is going down down down

In channel seven's wisdom, they have decided to show the Lions v Port game to Brisbane on Sunday afternoon. http://www.bigfooty.com/ubb/mad.gif

b/s...........what's this about.........surely they afl can do something about this!
When I spoke to Channel 7 programming in Brisbane yesterday, I was told that they would not show ANY Lions matches live.
They were totally arrogant.
Pathetic really.
If the Lions vs North Prelim a few years ago was in the top 5 most watched tv programs for the whole year, then AFL does rate.
Do they honestly think we will be happy. All those viewers can be angry, and their bottom line of advertising revenue can be affected if we don't watch their station.

The AFL has done something about it - they taken the rights away from Seven completely.
Oh, and somebody said that it would be a good idea to boycott the network completely ?
shit - thats easy for me ! I only watch Seven for the football anyway.
I mean, hey - Popstars, Ally McBeal and the Weakest freeakkken Link is just such quality television isn't it ? - NOT
