Give me a break. People bag Brett Lee, the guy is a x10 better ODI bowler. Test? Well, Johnson's had a couple of good series but is still inconsistent.

12 off the first over tonight, great going Midge. Loves the ball that goes across the RH batsman, too bad they leave it 9 times out of 10. His other balls are wides or spank me deliveries.

Shouldnt bowl.
Agreed. :thumbsu:

;)

I agree though, but it's pretty sad that our main strike bowler can't open the bowling.

The point still stands - he is inconsistent. We know his best is gamebreaking brilliant but that Johnson doesn't come to the party often enough. This is a player who rocked up to the Ashes after absolutely destroying the second best side in the world, arguably the best, to the point that he was being talked about as the best bowler in world cricket, and utterly failed to even slightly dent a batting attack that fell to the Windies for 51 runs a short time earlier.

Blame Ponting for resting Johnson prior to the Ashes. Johnson has a "weird" action and to be honest he needs consistent bowling. he should have played each tour match.
