Ian Harvey has just taking 8-101 in Australia A's match against South Africa A. Now if that guy doesen't go to the West Indies, i will be amazed. He is a class above the rest.

A freak as in he does just enough to be a fringe player.

He is a hack who pulls freakish performance out of his arse. As soon as Watson is fit and firing say goodbye and good riddance to Harvey......a man who promised so much and delivered so little.

Harvey will have trouble retaining his spot in the Vic team soon. Cameron White coming through and rumours abound that Watson will end up in Melbourne will put a lot of pressure on his spot. You wouldn't think that they could justify dropping a batsman or bowler to fit him in on the off chance he might do something.

Harvey is the most overrated cricket in Australia.

He's a medium pace bowler who can put it on a good spot and will get wickets against average batsmen, and get teh occasional haul against good batsmen. Particuarlrly suited to low and slow wicekts were the ball doesn't come onto the bat.

Doesn't drop it short which is the reason behind most of the wickets he gets.

As a bastsmen, he is nothing. A genuine number 8 or 9 batsmen.

I rate Watson, Symonds and Bichel as better all-rounder's than Harvey.

Pfft. Watson. Talk about overrated. 'Next big thing' he is meant to be, well he has showed very little so far to suggest he will be. With this back injury, which could seriously hamper any chances he has of being the 'next big thing'.

Well Watson probably will b the next big thing i just think we have rushed him, he is not ready for international cricket and Harvey i have heard vicious rumors that he wont be with Victoria next year as they didnt re new his contract and i have heard he has had talks with SA, so take it for what its worth.

The only thing freaky about Harvey is how he continues to be selected to play for Australia.
A complete hack. Not talentless, just useless.

Well he is a better bowler than Symonds and watson. HAHHA Watson didn't even bowl well at all in every single of his ODI. At least you can count on Harvey at one thing and that is bowling. Look at his World Cup figures averaged 18 with the ball and bowled well throughout the tournament. HARVEY INSTEAD OF WATSON.

Both very impressive :p

You would have to say that statistic wise they are very similar, just about inseparable. It is accepted that Watson was rushed into the team well before he was ready, so it doesn't look all that good for Victoria's favourite lovechild. Watson was just starting to come good before his injury, he will be back and when he regains full pace he has some experience to mould his game around. I'll accept Harvey is a better bowler, too bad they are vying for the all-rounder position ;)

Harvey has been around for ages and probably shown less.

Yes. He's almost as overrated as that grasshopper over in Sri Lanka.

Don't worry about Watson. The kid is only 21 years old and was thrown into the deep end before he deserved it and while he didn't pass with flying colours, he was just finding his groove before he was injuried. He'll be a fine cricketer for Australia in the coming years.

WATSON, hahha how many times have we heard that about players that they will be good. It doesn't always turn out like that.
