Essendon premiership player Adam Ramanauskas will have an operation to remove a lump from his upper body tomorrow. As a result he will miss this weekend's match against the Western Bulldogs. Ramanauskas’s omission from the Round 4 match means that there will be at least three selection changes made this week with Sean Wellman and Joe Misiti also both unavailable.

Read in The Age that Misiti may be playing this week. He has apparently made a miraculous recovery from his strained bottock.

Who should come in? Bannister and Richards are supposedly showing good form in the 2s. McGrath is practically begging Sheedy to give him a game. You would think Laykock and Watson are ready to make senior debuts pretty soon. Then there are guys like Winderlich.
I'd like to see some more talls and some more forward options. With Bolton back I would like to see Jacobs maybe play up forward somewhere. Bring Laykock in and put them at HF. Lucas played his best football last year at CHB; I'd like to see him back there.
I'm thinking something like this, assuming that Misiti doesn't play and there aren't any injury surprises.
B: MJohnson Fletcher Solomon
HB: Bolton Lucas McPhee
C: McVeigh Hird Rioli
HF: Jacobs Laykock Hille
F: Cupido Lloyd Mercuri (last chance)
R: Alessio, Peverill, JJohnson
I/C: Bannister, McGrath, Reynolds, Watson
