Well done. Growing up in India his popularity in the 90s was amazing. Given India's position anytime a cricket game involving India was on and India was batting, people would stop by and ask if Tendulkar is out. If yes they went on with their work, if no they stopped everything they were doing.

I remember a game I went to in India. it was slow getting in, there were lines outside. India started batting as the crowd was coming in. Suddenly, the first wicket fell. There was a roar. Then about 10 mins later there was a ahhhh. Someone said Sachin's out. Half the people in the line just left lol.

Anyways, most still stayed. When South Africa batted it was obvious they'd win. Crowd was depressed. Then out comes Tendulkar with his bowling, grabs two quick wickets. I think in a stadium which didn't get enough international matches that was a highlight enough.

India's has had other stars like Gavaskar, Dev and Dhoni but no one will ever come close to Tendulkar. Not for another 20 years anyway.
