Im at nearly every Lions game and I can't remember a better match I have seen up here. For a long time at least.
There has never ever been a better atmosphere in my opinion. The Collingwood army were out in force which prompted the Lions fans to make more noise and the two crowds fed off eachother.
I didn't even feel disapointed at the end. I didn't expect to win and I was proud of my boys. And most importantly, I was just glad to see a great game of footy.
Good on you Nick.
May sound funny but I was very happy at half time that at last we had a game at the Gabba where the Lions were being fully stretched and (gulp) may even lose.
The Pies were very good and will be right up there at season's end.
Cheers.
I concur with the both of you.

I must say you lads sound so gentlemanly about the whole thing - living in Pie heartland, things are a little more INTENSE. Just having a Back-to-Back sticker on my car endangers it ! The Pie hype for this contest has been overwhelming down here - I don't know have many 'we-wuz-robbed' comments I've endured since September 2002 and AGAIN this morning - 'gee, you were lucky' stuff. Time for respect.
My idea is to get Aker, the Scott boys and CJ in the back of a ute suitably adorned with Lions guff and cruise slowly up and down Smith St. If Pie fans have any 'issues', let them 'discuss' them with the lads.

I had a great time at the game. One Lions supporter behind us was on his mobile ringing a friend saying how great the atmosphere was. "I think they've all been drinking," was his explanation. Which was true in my case.

Were you at the game wearing a St.Kilda gernsey?
And yes how good was the game would have loved to been there but when i rang through it was already bloody sold out plus i changed my plans. I'm pretty crapped off that i haven't attended a game in ages (due to work, etc) but i'm most likely going to the big match in Round 8.
My friend and I went into Southbank and a stroll into the city on Thursday and we walked over the bridge to Southbank and I bumped into alot of Collingwood fans to and from Southbank, we also went past the Botanical Gardens and saw a few of the Collingwood boys.
Great game and atmosphere!! I was prepared for a loss at half time and now I know that I can deal with it.
It was great seeing the boys lift in the 2nd half and hearing the crowd respond. I didn't hear the Aka interview but the singing was hilarious!

Yeah, I thought there 3rd quarter was one of the best quarters i've seen them play in awhile.
Our third quarter showed why we are Premiers.
Inspiring stuff.
After watching it a couple of times I've been amazed how different the game looked on telly. You certainly can't see how good our 3rd qtr really was.
