as if we didnt know it was going to happen......
but it was great... yet again.......
the boys didnt obvioulsy want to play in normal game time coz a majority of the goals come in time on.....
blake played... but i still didnt think he did much..... he hit his knee pretty hard in the start of the game.. he did ok... but nothing to write back to essendon about.... although he did kick one goal... (also got a behind)
Grammy did really well i thought down back & running forward on a few occassions getting 2 goals & holding his opponent well.
Richie was beautiful in the middle, showing the pies midfielders how the game is played.
Nutsy Corrie once again didnt really get into the game being played down back, he really needs to get a game on the wing to show his true potential. he also got 1 goal for the game
Strawb did a few things but didnt end up having too much imput onto the game... he did alright though....
Boofa... i thought was very good again.... very stiff not to be named in the lions review of the game for the 2nd week in a row.. he always shows plently of run out of defensive 50.

I thought that dylan was great.....he was in the ruck & down back & up forward maybe even..... he was just everywhere.... especially in the last qtr when he ended up getting 3 goals in a short period of time...
Joel.... poor kid.. i felt so sorry for him... he got put on the FERAL... the most disguisting & dirty player in the league..... joel was good until he was put on this fella & just had to put up with being hit in the face a few times & pushed around alot more than what can surely be legal......joel still kept the other fella out of the play & still got a few touches for himself which was waht was asked of him.. we just wish that he would have smacked him one & left him lying on the ground ( it would have been worth it) it was also hard for the rookies to get into the game coz of the constant rotation of them on the bench
crackers... well what can i say.. he was really good.. played the 1st 15 mins of the game & was great... he then continued on a bit of a rotation of 15 on 15 off... he ended up coming off & they were looking @ his foot which he had hurt during the sydney warm up......hope its not too bad... didnt look too bad after the game though i thought.....3 goals....
bunnings... i thought he was really good again this week..... he has showed some very promising signs & i look forward to watching him play a few more games..... very very good game.... & 4 goals to top it all off.....
nugget did some good things today as well.. he was very good when he was put in the FF position he got one goal but helped his teammates put through a few more.....
bushie was really good again & having so many players trying to get into/back into the seniors could be the only thing holding him back... was superb in teh centre & got the ball forward many times...
Luca was really good again this week... started in the backline.. but hey.... we didnt really need one... the ball never made it that far back down there so he moved forward & took a number of strong marks.....getting one goal from one of those marks...
shatts did some very good things just back of the middle & got the ball out of the middle many times....
morro showed them yet again why they were silly to drop him... he ended up with another bag full of goals (5)was around everywhere....
pratty was also starting in the backline...& ended up moving around a bit... ended up getting a few possessions when he come forward.. but was used more to keep his man away from the play & did it well....
Nick.. great to have him back after serving his week suspension during the game against the eagles after gubby allen asked that he got to have the week off during the pre-season... he was very good & was running the ball forward continuously & ended up with 2 goals...
Kevin... once again.. he was used to keep his man out of the play until the last qtr...when we just didnt care anymore...... so he ran forward & took the ball with him.... getting one goal for the game

Geez, I got to my seats last night during the 4th quarter of the reserves game and saw the scores: Lions 128 Magpies 9. Bad omen I thought :D

yeah ripper..... nick.. we were going to meet ages ago.. & r still waiting...& like i said lenny... we were upset that u didnt come & see us as well.....
yeah lenny... who really knows why they are in there? but there has to be @ least one **** team with the bastard players

Great game, glad to see the boys start the season off in such awesome fashion.
Morro, Kev, Luca, Grammy, Shatts, Gums all had blinders I thought. A good overall team effort.
And Joely, you should have belted that big **** #42, it would have been worth a week in the stand. :o

We journeyed up to QLD for the match and Easter. What a terrific atmosphere for the main match, but no one there for the reserves.
By the way who are the players you are talking about.We thought Gram looked good as did Copeland.They had no competition what so ever, the skill level of that game was a joke.

I have no idea who any of these blokes are except Pratt and Caracella becuae of the nicknames used lol very funny how each of the clubs supporters uses the guys nicks , it leaves us other supporters thinking what the ***.

cheers I'm gathering your not a Lions fan or you just don't come to any ressies games. Dylan, Joel, Nick and Kevin aren't nicknames.
That's there given christian names to the fellas in the team.
Crackers ... well he's had that name for about 10 years now, and hardly ever gets called by his real christian name.
Luca ... there's only 1 Luke in the ressies team.
Shatts ... would have thought that was an easy one only 1 player named Shattock at the club.
Morro ... Pretty obvious one as well.
As for Nuggett, Bunnings and Bushie ... one played in the Premiership team 2001 and the other 2 you'll just have to keep guessing. ;)

hey tapestry... where did u sit? u should have come & sit with the ressies club down where we sit.... answering your question... i named every player... so then anyone who wanted to know about a specific player could check it out.... & it is in jumper # order & if u werre really interested u would know what their nicknames were (i mean of the specific player) as for the competition... that would have to be one of the worst 2 teams for you to watch us play.....(along with the afore mentioned mayne, who will get there one day & they have a good coach now Rob Dickfos is now coaching there & havent the Eagles been showing thatthey aren without their champion coach.. they didnt show much against us & lost by quite a bit to the other great AFLQ club Morningside ( who will be a power of the competition this year) & it was great to see that broady beat the defending premiers on the weekend... carn the mighty cats.....)
yeah as kaz said it surely is a shame to see that the ressies dont get a good enough turn up to games, i am so upset that i have to miss the next 2 games..... one coz they arent playing the curtain raiser on sunday & some of us have to work sometime to pay for our footy.. LOL... so i cant go & the week after i will be in melbourne for the cats game... so once again... dont get to see the game...... which is surely upsetting....
& kaz it would have been worth a month on the sideline to leave him lying on the ground........
