A Sydney third-grade bowler took two hat-tricks in an innings as North Sydney were bowled out for a record low score of just 8.

Parramatta's Anthony Karam finished with remarkable figures of 7-3 as Norths were bundled out in their first innings for what is believed the lowest score in the 116-year history of Sydney grade cricket.

I know this is probably considered domestic, but what the hell. Is that the lowest score ever in a cricket match anywhere?

Nup.

I know of a school match where a team got bowled out for 7. T Paine was on the bowling side and I believe he bowled too.

Record is actually 0, recorded scores of 0 in Australia are

Marlborough v Undaunted, Sydney 1876-77
Coles XI v North Fitzroy United, Melbourne 1926-27

The best one ever however is
All out for 1- St Barnabas v Patrician Brothers, Sydney 1967-68 (1st Innings)
All out for 2- St Barnabas v Patrician Brothers, Sydney 1967-68 (2nd Innings)

"Extras were the visitors' second top-scorer with one, as eight players recorded ducks."

If the current Test side scored that, the selectors still wouldn't make any changes to the side.

Sounds like you must have been a very handy cricketer back then.

That's amazing. All out for 8. Surely had to be the top team playing against the bottom team, or something similar.

A junior side at my club bowled another side out for 0 back a few years ago.

I think it was a U/11's game.

yeah waverley college was the bowling team that day against barker. the lads were about 3 or 4 years old than me.

in competitive grade cricket, 8 is just a redicolous score. the dressing sheds after that would've been a very very sombre place.

The worst first-class score since WWII is 14 by Leicestershire in 1983 - prior to then, on dodgy, uncovered pitches there were quite a few embarrassments of first-class sides.

I once made more on my own in the second innings of a game than our entire team made in the first innings - I made 15.:D

Victoria made the highest first-class score of 1107 in 26/27 vs NSW (Go Vics!). In the return match a month later (same season), the Vics got rolled for 35.

We bowled a team out for 11 a few years ago in an under 16 match.

They were flying at 1/9 until they lost 9/2.

In first match of the local T20 comp a year or so back, everyone hadn't played much of it and thought they could get away with slogging like Gilly or Symonds. Both teams were talking up there chances and batters were talking about the reverse sweep and dancing fast bowlers. Unfortunately I was bowled the very first ball of the game and the rest of my team followed me with some of the most disgraceful shots I have ever seen, my opening partner danced the 4th ball of the game and was bounced he took his eye off the ball and shat himself and the ball spliced off his bat straight back to the bowler. We were bowled out for 24 off 6 overs. Fortunately the other team did not learn from our mistakes and tried the same thing, we had them 9/14 but then their last batter hooked a six and then a four and they had won in 7 overs. All over in 13 overs. Only four bowlers bowled a ball.

it's funny when you hear these stories. most people that played cricket at school and junior cricket. you will always remember the day you were bowled out for such a terrible score. it's even funnier for my school. the next match we notched a 120 odd in 25 overs i think it was

One of the teams up around my way made 123 in a 2 day match and the batting sides top scorer made 112 not out

And there was another one where a side was 0/63 and was all out for 64

I played in a school game once where a guy got a double hatrick against us, and we still ended up winning. No idea how that happened.

Kensington 1sts in Adelaide got rolled by Northern Districts for 20 in the second innings of a match after making 380 in the first a few years ago. Both teams were quality, Kensington with Dean Waugh, Greg Blewett, Mark Cleary, while Northern Districts bowling attack was Ryan Harris and Chris Duval. They both took 5 for 10.

Haha, brings back awesome memories
Playing for Maccabbi under 13's or 15's, it was i think a year or two ago. Basically our team sucked, minus some very good cricketers who are playing 2's and 3's. Anyways, our douchebag coach decides to switch the order around. 10's and 9's open, number 8 comes in 3rd etc. I still batted 11 as i was that bad a batsmen. Bowled out for 7. Next day our coach walked out on us.
