Does not seem to be a thread on this.
The Twenty20's were level at 1-1 after India's record highest ever run chase. Main people were Yuvraj, Dhoni and Sehwag although the fielding was appartently terrible.

Also India is looking to change their 5 match ODI series with South Africa to a 2 Test + 3ODI (not confirmed but the Test series whilst sceduled was not confirmed a year ago I believe).

The T20's were entertaining, now onto the ODI's.
Anyone watching the Shewag and Sachin show? They are going going crazy.
insane. 400 on the cards here, 200 a possibility for sehwag. 121 from 81, with 20 overs left.

i'll put the mocker on Sehwag, i reckon he is heading for 200.

Things will slow down a bit, but they still look on track for the record.
120 off 12 overs for the record, gonna be a big ask.

~100 off 10 overs. Not impossible at all, especially if they stop losing wickets.

Sehwag is coming into his prime and imo is the best batsman in the world atm.

i am going too back sri lanka to get these runs. 1 for 316 off 36 is a good rate chasing 400+
A couple of quick wickets and Sri Lanka are 3/328 needing 87 off 75
Should do it easily.
I don't know why these teams bother taking the powerplay...

India win. History does not repeat itself. The first 400+ score to be defended.
Gutsy effort there by India to get the win in the end. The Sri Lankans will be very disappointed.

What I have learned tonight...
If 2 Full Member nations are playing each other in an ODI, and the first one scores 400, its probably only about par for the pitch :thumbsu:

Lol Dhoni said 450 would of been above par on that pitch, Sri Lanka should of coasted home to be honest.

What a awesome match, Dilshan is in some sort of form. India did very well to pick themselves of the mat there and hold on for the win. Great, great game.

where r they playing these tests, odis, and t20s? on the road or in a cardboard box, whats with all the high scores 700+ scores in the tests, 200+ in t20s and 400s in the odis...
Dilshan is in the form of his life.
Started the third ODI with a lazy 36 off the first 13 balls he's faced... 9 boundaries to all parts of the ground.
Nehra has got the run rate down under 12.50
Just got out for a blistering 41. Would love to see Gayle, Shewag and Dilshan in the same team. :eek:

Has nothing to do with the pitches, he's just been consistently bowling rubbish and pies for 12 months

this is why the icc is inept when it comes too thesethings. surely their own curators would have seen how bad the pitch was before the start of play. they should have called it off well before the first ball
