Does not seem to be a thread on this.

The Twenty20's were level at 1-1 after India's record highest ever run chase. Main people were Yuvraj, Dhoni and Sehwag although the fielding was appartently terrible.

Second Twenty20 scorecard: http://www.cricinfo.com/indvsl2009/engine/match/430885.html

First Twenty20 scorecard: http://www.cricinfo.com/indvsl2009/engine/current/match/430884.html

In other news Sreesanth has tested positive for swine flu http://www.cricinfo.com/indvsl2009/content/story/439047.html

Also India is looking to change their 5 match ODI series with South Africa to a 2 Test + 3ODI (not confirmed but the Test series whilst sceduled was not confirmed a year ago I believe).

Anyone watching the Shewag and Sachin show? They are going going crazy.

dumb
15 Dec 2009, 14:45
insane. 400 on the cards here, 200 a possibility for sehwag. 121 from 81, with 20 overs left.

Zarrix
15 Dec 2009, 14:48
RSA's record of 438 in grave danger I think

Ind:264/1 after 30 overs.

They say you double your score in the last 20 overs.

Imagine that

Belnakor
15 Dec 2009, 14:57
i'll put the mocker on Sehwag, i reckon he is heading for 200.

Mick Lewis's 113 is also on the cards, someone has to bowl the overs!

Cousin Jed
15 Dec 2009, 15:04
Mick Lewis is safe - the 3 quicks who will bowl 10 each are only going for 7.

Zarrix
15 Dec 2009, 15:29
Sehwag out for 146. Dhoni out too.

Things will slow down a bit, but they still look on track for the record.

15 Dec 2009, 15:30
120 off 12 overs for the record, gonna be a big ask.

Belnakor
15 Dec 2009, 15:36
looks like the record 438 is safe

Zarrix
15 Dec 2009, 15:39
~100 off 10 overs. Not impossible at all, especially if they stop losing wickets.

JohnG
15 Dec 2009, 17:31
Sehwag out for 146. Dhoni out too.

Things will slow down a bit, but they still look on track for the record.

Sehwag is coming into his prime and imo is the best batsman in the world atm.

Pretty pedestrian chase so far from Sri Lanka.....

Cousin Jed
15 Dec 2009, 19:21
So this is 12 dropped catches in 73 overs of limited-overs of cricket, starting from the T20s

Some quality fielding that from India...

i am going too back sri lanka to get these runs. 1 for 316 off 36 is a good rate chasing 400+

beez
15 Dec 2009, 19:48
A couple of quick wickets and Sri Lanka are 3/328 needing 87 off 75

Should do it easily.

15 Dec 2009, 20:40
a quick 20-30 from jayasuriya would have put it beyond doubt. i think it's about time someone else experienced the pain of having 400+ chased down. effigy time?

S for September
15 Dec 2009, 20:42
14 from 10... going to be close. they cant find the boundary at the moment.

dumb
15 Dec 2009, 20:46

DamoESP
15 Dec 2009, 20:46
12 from 8....getting down to the wire.

Now why can't Australia bowl like this at the death??? Full and at the stumps!

Sri Lanka have ****ed themselves with their runouts.....11 from 6 now...don't think they will get it now.

S for September
15 Dec 2009, 20:47
Surely they can find the boundary in this over..

15 Dec 2009, 20:57
Gutsy effort there by India to get the win in the end. The Sri Lankans will be very disappointed.

What I have learned tonight...

If 2 Full Member nations are playing each other in an ODI, and the first one scores 400, its probably only about par for the pitch :thumbsu:

damochandler
15 Dec 2009, 21:18
i cant believe sri lanka lost that. they were 1 for 300 odd with 14 overs to go

Lol Dhoni said 450 would of been above par on that pitch, Sri Lanka should of coasted home to be honest.

where r they playing these tests, odis, and t20s? on the road or in a cardboard box, whats with all the high scores 700+ scores in the tests, 200+ in t20s and 400s in the odis...

Dilshan is in the form of his life.

Started the third ODI with a lazy 36 off the first 13 balls he's faced... 9 boundaries to all parts of the ground.

Nehra has got the run rate down under 12.50

Alpha1
21 Dec 2009, 19:02
Just got out for a blistering 41. Would love to see Gayle, Shewag and Dilshan in the same team.

21 Dec 2009, 19:36
Don't Sewag and Dilshan both play for Delhi in IPL?

SL already 150 odd off just 20 overs... looking like another 350-400 run chase.

I disagree...he's not the only bowler getting stick.

Need him to get back to bowling on pitches in South Africa, Eng etc.

Play in the final ODI has been suspended 23.3 overs into Sri Lanka's innings due to a dangerous pitch.

this is why the icc is inept when it comes too thesethings. surely their own curators would have seen how bad the pitch was before the start of play. they should have called it off well before the first ball
