At the risk of sounding a bit on the naive side but after seeing Terry in the Collingwood coaches box today could someone tell me the reason for him leaving the Bombers this year??

Great win by your guys today & some real quality kids on show,

looks like the old fox might come up trumps again,

He didn't want to coach the VFL bombers side in Bendigo.

He lost a rather large bet.

He's a mole.

There's no other explanation. Today's result gives creedence to this theory.

I myself was not aware of this development and got the shock of my life coming back to the set with the beers and seeing him in those colours during a sideline interview...I keep thinking "that looks like.....nah can't be"

Seeing that bald dome in the St Kilda box is strange as well.

Knew he`d gone, saw him taking collingwood training in one of their polo`s, felt as sick as a dog after watching the replay, my favourite all time captain plotting against us on match day.

King Wally (Dean Wallis) is their defensive coach.

After all that NTPM was the only one with the correct answer....although the other answers fill me with hope :)

Breaks my heart to see TD in those colors.

Probably a bit more in it than just the Bendigo thing. You talk to the man himself and even he feels he needed to get experience elsewhere and a position was available. However, knowing what he's like, this could be the start of something HUGE at Essendon once Sheedy retires...our next coach could be our beloved TD!!!!:D

As opposed to the something big if our beloved Harvey becomes our next coach?

Buggie, maybe it is best if Harvey this year, accepts an offer to go elsewhere for a little while.

Nup. Can't agree with you there.

TD may or may not come back (I'd like to think he would), but I'd love to see Harvey as the next coach.

TD will be a more rounded coach than Harvey. You need to see the game under different peoples eyes. Harvey has never left Sheedy's side.

PS TD said, he left because he didn;t want to be permanently based in Bendigo as he would be away from his kids - who are in secondary school. Fair enough too. Although it pains me to see him in those colours, he will be a better man for it, and should be our next coach.

TD=HARVEY=CHAMPIONS!!!!

Have to agree with pazza on this one. Harvey verturing elsewhere for a year or 2 would greatly help him in becoming a more successful coach instead of staying under Sheed for the entirity.
