What was this guy on yestersay? M29 would have been pinching himself as his favourite player went crazy in his pursuit of the ball. Never seen the little bloke go so hard. Played like it was his last game.

Me too - I'm one of his biggest critics, and was certain that he'd be in the magoos next week.

Well done Macca, and keep up the good work.

Always liked Mcveigh, laugh at people who call him soft, played rugby league as a young bloke , fantastic tackler, attacks the hips.

UGH! Fair enough.

Anyone explain that holding the ball desicion in the 2nd quarter when 5 players jumped on him? How the **** could he have gotten rid of that!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

I said at the end of last season that I thought McVeigh could be in for a big year this year.

I don't understand why people don't like him.....???

He's a beautiful kick, and attacks the player and the ball as well as anybody else in our team.

He's a good player. Hopefully by the end of this season, people will realise this.

Unfortunately, that's not the point.

I thought the umpire was actually right - he dived on it.

Of course, it's a bullsh|t rule that penalises the player going for the ball, but the ump was right - he dived on it and didn't get it out.

I must admit I feel a bit of a love/hate sort of thing with Spike. I think he probably makes a good scapegoat considering he has the whole pretty boy thing going.

I got #10 put on one of my jumpers before knowing anything at all about the guy (I have a Coleman obsession), so I guess I have always paid close attention to him for that reason, as trivial as that may sound.

The one thing I would really like out of McVeigh is consistency. Makes a picture perfect pass one minute and the worst clanger you've ever seen the next. You really don't know what kind of game you are going to get out of him when runs out on the ground.

He seems to play some of his better games off an HF flank; maybe Sheeds should try putting him there for a couple of weeks and see what happens.

Technically was probably there - but where is the consistancy?

Very ordinaraily officiated game.
