I wanted to watch the mole on 7two, yet had to wait as the program before it went 14 minutes over. Fourteen minutes. That's just ridiculous.

I doubt that other countries would allow their shows to run over by such a large margain. I've heard that we show more ads than America.

At least you get 7TWO, the useless channel isn't even available in Regional Victoria and I have NFI when we'll get it.

Anyway, carry on...

How can shows on 7Two start so late when they don't have any live things that push back starting times of shows ?

Meh - that's why the only thing I'll watch on regular TV is live sport, everything else can be obtained elsewhere and watched when I want to watch it, not when the tv stations want me to watch it.

Nail.Head

Which is sad the state of FTA these days or even Foxtel, which has only started screening Dexter despite finishing up in the U.S this week.

It is frustrating when this happens.

Used to happen the opposite way with GO!, i'd tune in to watch Seinfeld at 12am only to see that when i turned it on it was halfway thru the ep and it was only just ticking over 12am, i find this more frustrating than shows running over.

Bah, 7Two running about 45 minutes behind.

I stay home for a Saturday night flick on the telly to watch Saturday GF night and there show that was supposed to finish at 1230 is still going at 1.10.

Annoying.

don't know about having less ads, but when I was over in america last summer I noticed they would cut a a second or two off the start and end of ads

They don't and won't in Australia.

Footnote this thread and come back in a decade. FTA will be a second rate version of what we will be getting via the internet.

Think back to 99...heard of YouTube, torrents, superfast bband...?

The market will dictate what happens...with better options coming available, the dictating that we have seen from TV the past 40 years at least will be over.

They dont realise that they should not be biting the hand that feeds them...the viewers=advertising.

Rant over
