I did something really embarrassing yesterday.

Rioli kicked a long goal at the far end of the ground, but I thought it was Cupido, and as the goal went through I went off and started yelling "Cu-pi-do". A filth supporter turns to me and says "one problem, that was Dean Rioli". I wanted to crawl into a hole.

Okay, so #43 looks a lot like #13, and they just happen to both be aboriginal, so I guess it is an easy enough mistake to make. But the fact it was a Pie who corrected me just made me wanna go hide.

Cupido had kicked five by that point, so I guess I could be forgiven for force of habit.

Isn't Cupido a South African by birth? Bit embarassing for you Stealth but in the wash up, who cares? Both had blinders.

You think thats bad. When hird scored one goal, I went mental thinking it was 'The Bear' (Teddy Richards). Only to be corrected by 50 people that it was infact, Hird.

Don't worry, I thought it was Cupido also and marked the goal down as his, it was only when I looked at the big screen that I found out it was Rioli.

Don't worry about it, we all make silly mistakes sometimes! I know I was watching one game from where I was staying in Phillip Island with some friends, and cheered on Michael Long... Until I wondered how I'd managed to get into that time warp without noticing, and the tv cut to his face instead of his back. (He doesn't really -look- like Michael Long, even from behind. It was the number 13 that threw me.)
