Trust me in my 20 odd years of watchin this mob I have no idea. At times they shock the world & then other times they're as predictable as they come.

There are question marks over so many players, they'll respond but will it be to late...

I couldn't tell you either, but I have a feeling a pretty determined West Coast Eagles side will be making the trip over. They will want to win over here and they'll believe they can do it against us.

We'll have our work cut out for us against what is probably the best midfield in the comp. We have to include Rigoni if we're thinking of beating them out of the middle. Our forwards will have to fire as their defence is not as strong, but we'll have to contain Gardiner, Cousins, Kerr, Judd, Fletcher, Wirrpunda, Chick and Embley to get it there.

It'll come down to their midfield Vs our forwards. We'll need to contain them to get it to our strength and they'll need to fire to keep it away.

Wirrpunda and Kerr are less than 50% chance of playing apparently, and if you'd seen WC's performance against Hawthorn in rd2 at York park you wouldn't fear us a bit. Melbourne are TAB favourites going into this game and rightfully so, WC are a totally different team on the road.

WC should win this game, but they also should have won against a heavily undermanned Hawthorn at a neutral venue in rd2.

what do you mean, we won our last away game:D

But yes, the question is not only which Melb team will show up but also which WCE team will.

Well to be honest, this is the game where you guys can turn things around on the road. We tend to talk up the fact that we will be loking to make amends, but we do that all the time and end up doing nothing at all.

I'm quietly confident of a win, but then again I always am when it comes to the Dees. Your midfield is definately something we must stop, and last time we played you at Subiaco we did that pretty well and we won. If Godders can shut down Cousins it will go ALONG way to helping us win the game, although the rest of the midfield is still very good.

No doubt, WCE supporters have a valid argument about their teams unpredictibility on the road but we really are in trouble. You'd hope we'd bounce back this week but then we said that last week too!

I spoke to a West Coast fan on Sunday night who warned me "not to take us lightly" I nearly fell over laughing! As if, West Coast have been impressive this season.

I see Gardiner as the big danger, thankfully the player in form at Melbourne is Jeff White & he's given Gardiner some spankings in the past. Both Back up's Jolly & Cox have made good starts to the season.

We need so much more from Yze,TJ,Bruce & Whelan. Will it come this week?

i dont know how they felt about the last quarter, i felt bad watching the melb mistakes so i can just imagine how hard it was for the supporters watching so many blatant skill errors and clashes between their own players.

Bad luck, you really had me worried at Half Time, played some awesome footy in the second term. Hope you turn your season around soon.

Well done to the Eagles. Gardiner showed today that he is the best ruckman in the league.

As for Melbourne- Pathetic.

Some of their errors were comical. The way they played in the 4th qtr they would have struggled against several VFL teams.

Pathetic seems like a harsh comment, but I do agree that you were disappointing in the last quarter with a 3/4 goal breeze behind your backs. You's had oppurtunites but just couldn't take them.

And yes, Gardiner with 39hitouts showed his supremacy to continure his great form this season.

We get enough of it, we just much around with it too much. When we should kick, we handpass. Nathan Brown thought he was king **** in the last qtr, kept getting in everyone's way as if everyone was passing the ball to him all the time. He tripped over players, knocked the ball loose and turned it over on numerous occasions.

Pathetic is the word. And if Gardiner didn't dominate after White went off (and it's no excuse for our bad performance, although White was beating him before he got injured), then you would be worried. I thought Darren Jolly fought valiantly by himself for three qtrs, but Gardiner's overall brilliance was too much.

 Looked to me like Gardiner was easily beating White in the first quarter, then White got injured moving Jolly from the forward line into the ruck and Jakovich from the backline (on Jolly) to CHF. Then in the second, Jolly seemed to give Gardy some competition and got the Dees going.

After half time Gardiner adjusted and promptly spanked Jolly in the ruck for the rest of the game. That's how I saw it anyway.

West Coast were too good, should make the 8 easily. We were bad again in the last quarter, but the signs were alarming early too. Check out how easy Chick's first two goals were, his opponent (some bloke with a wierd name, Easy or sommat) never looked interested in picking him up. Things like that are killing us, not the enthusiasm of blokes like Brown,Williams & Godfrey. So what if Brown ran into a teammate, at least he runs & wins the ball!!!

Big Joll was gutsy & took the points in the 2nd qtr. He drops the odd mark in defence & could get more of the ball, however his attitude is brilliant. White's absence could be a blessing in disguise as it'll allow Jol to show his stuff in the middle, which will be valuable experience for his future. It'll also give Mark Jamar the opportunity to grab a spot in the 22 which he richly deserves, his ruckwork is impressive.

The MFC have offically achieved Rabble status i'm afraid, but i'll be there again next week to see us take on Port & I just hope we don't embarrass ourselves.

I was there for only 3 quarters, due to a parking problem at Olympic Park where I wanted to park the car for the Storm game later that night.....I just could not believe my eyes at the amount of mistakes and fumbling...someone said comical..

The players looked like they were too cautious at times, and bumbled their way through some quarters to fall in a heap in the last quarter.

Still, I think the Dees will win next week......just a feeling in the tummy!:)

Goodluck to the Dees this weekend. I hope that Vardy has yet another big game against the Power & that unlike last year he gets them over the line!

I can't recall him having a bad game against the Power, which may be why we are so crap in showdown games without him. I would have great pleasure in watching him kick a bag of goals on the weekend. :D

It's probably just a guts-ache!! :D

Seriously, could your lot please, pretty please with sugar on it, pull one out of the hat, their backsides or anywhere and gladden every Crows' supporter's heart and give Pork Powder a hiding on Sunday?? :)

Jamar was fantastic for what he is - a 19 year old ruckmen still learning his game and in need of another season or 2 of development at reserves level (or possibly in the forward line!).

I'm guessing Adelaide will be a very quiet town this week :p

And a big F-off to the whinging Port Adelaide fan who sat behind me and wouldn't stop crapping on for the whole game about how all the Melbourne teams were going to fold and how "this must be what happens when you play in a park in front of 500 people".

When I turned around and gave her a spray for being an know-it-all despite supporting a club that's been in the league for five minutes her oh-so-witty reply was "Well the AFL's only been around for five minutes".

I couldn't continue ripping the **** out of her after that because we were laughing too hard. Never had anything against Port (their god-awful song aside) before yesterday, but I choose to now.
