View Full Version : Question for all West Coast Warriors?
Considering EKA is rather open about leaving us and starting his own team. Should he be dropped from the side for the rest of the season.
Our test season is over but the we are still very much in the thick of things in the ODI's and are in the midst of trying to defend our title.
If he wants to leave so bad, why should we play him if his heart isnt in it. We do have Hourn/Black Thunder waiting for a game so I can bring him in to the side for the remainder of the season?
Thoughts?
Hard choice, he's been good for us this season but i think its a good time to give BlackThunder/Hourn some valuable experience

I think the captain should make these hard decisions. :D
If Ben Cousins announced his intentions to quit WCE just before our finals campaign would WCE drop him?
I don't think so.
EKA is still a WCW man until he starts his own team.

That is called cutting your nose off despite your face.
The Crocodiles will be the biggest and most popular fantasy cricket side in the league. There has been more posted about what our side is doing then any of the other sides and we haven't played our first game yet. My plan worked perfectly, just as it did back in the 70's with World Series Cricket.

Whats different in this instance is that EKA resigned last season and was taken back - no questions asked

im just laughing at the fact ive played what half a season when it was widely known(obviously jod doesnt read the fantasy cricket board much;)) that i was leaving. Yes i would love to continue playing and hope to bring this club the one day cup it deserves, but if im dropped im not that flustered. Its your call, ill be happy with whatever decision is made. As it stands im raring to go in the next game.

i read on the board that you were leaving but was surprised that Jod wasnt making a big fuss about it
i thought considering the captain doesnt care, why should i?? now that i know the truth.....

Drop him for the finals. Totally delist him so he can't claim he was part of the One Day championship winning squad :D

Just a note also, the Crocs are on the verge(like VERGE verge) of signing a very high profiled quality WCW batsmen:)

its not so much i dont care, its more that i dont have a say, and if i aint picked i wont be upset as such, i expected to be dropped and am surprised its taken this long to come up. I would LOVE to play and give my best as the #1 fast bowler in the team, but if you wanna blood someone else sure go for it.

You really should have told me...I cant be everywhere at once despite the 14,000 or so posts :D Somehow I completely missed the Crocodiles thread. Had I have known, the season perhaps would be a little different.

Pfft...now your just starting rumors. Iceman and I are obviously not going anywhere and I doubt very highly that you would be able to pull WA, Goldenblue, Visro or D4E.........oh hang on a minute.
D4E's...he's been complaining all year about batting so low. I move him up in the tests to opener but perhaps he isnt happy?? D4E's would you like to comment?

D4E is the only one i can think of who could be a traitor, he's always wanted the opener position for both the tests and one dayers

Make no mistake about it. The WCW are the side of the WCE and this board.
To move to another team due to any other reason than not getting a game shows 'fickleness' and as such one has to seriously consider whether such a turncoat is truly a WCE supporter or just a temporary one.

I don't think I've scored a century in the last 2 one-day seasons and last test season. A change of scenery is needed if I want my career to flourish ;)

Well the only other batsmen we have waiting for a game is Esperito and he hasnt posted on BF in a looooong time. Plus he is only a batter, not a pure batter which D4E's is. So it could hurt the team if I drop him which will make it a tough decision.

Well, in hindsite, EKA gave the WCW a fair warning about leaving the club (that thread that none of us read!!)
D4E on the other hand is just springing it on us.....
Tough call, ill have to get back to you on that one ;)

I can just see what the game next year between our respective teams will be like. Carey v Nth, pfft, that was nothing ;)
Leaving you guys has suddenly got more people interested in this game again. Surely you can see I did it for the benefit of the WCW.

Their will definitely be an injection of new players into the club next season. It will be rather strange if we go back to back and people actually want to leave??

Just saw we lost the last final.
Still, there is hope for next season and I hope the skipper keeps me on the list. :)
We didn't stand much chance playing a night game without lights.
