My old cricket bat is signed by Ponting
I had an autograph bat signed by Taylor, MacGill and Bevan I think.
Went to a NSW Victoria shield match at North Sydney Oval in about 1998 and got Mcgrath, Slater, S Waugh and Shane Lee as well as a few Victorians, I think Warne and Saker, and i remember Reifill wasn't signing autographs

hanging out at test matches as a kid + the windies were always really nice in regards of signing autographs. the warne one is from when he was in the under 21s squad IIRC from 1989 or thereabouts and he was just a chubby little blond kid.

my best mates dad owns a book store, so i've got quite a few autographed books - boonie (x2 in the firing line, under the southern cross), taylor, border, ponting, benaud, max walker.
boonie was also a mate of a teacher at my primary school. i think every kid at that school in launceston each had 3 trust bank (a now defunct bank where boonie worked at the time - cricketers with full time jobs :D ) caps signed by the great man.
and i've got notebooks full of worthless autographs from tour matches in launceston and test matches in hobart. the kind of stuff that i think all touring teams in particular loved signing - because it created a lot of good will, sent the kids home happy, but left the kids with something that, to anyone other than those kids, was completely worthlesss. (it has got the whole tasmania and pakistani sides from around 1994 or so)

Have a fair number- won a bat raffle at the England v Australia ODI in Brisbane in 1999 with all their sigs- also got Ian botham who was having a drink after the match in the club.
Got a few of the Invincibles in the book that came out on them in the 90s- would have to check who i got, but had a few.
Got a lot of the Bulls in their commemorative book after the first Shield win in 1995- Border, Law, Heals etc.
Pride of place to an autographed picture of Michael Kasprowicz's hat trick ball against the Vics in 1998- got it from side on and you can see that the stumps are off and the ball is just behind, with Kasper with arms upraised at the other end- he signed a copy of it for me at the club. Got it hanging here in my study next to the Goldsworthy art work of Adelaide Oval.
I have Shane Warne's, plus a photo of him.
Actually, I met him just down the road from where I live.

Warne - Chased him down after a SA V Vic Shield game, literally had a beer and a ciggy in his hand. Also got Blewett's that day too.
McGrath - At a book signing shortly after the 03 W/Cup, top bloke!
Ponting - At a book signing, he was pretty quiet
Lillie - At Rebel Sport one day flogging some merchandise, he was pretty cool.
Brad Hogg - He was carrying a stack of cricket gear but put it down to sign for all us kids (I was 13 at the time, on holiday in Sydney)
Bracken - Was in a towel !
Lehmann - Shortly after being suspended for racial abuse
Gillespie - Signed my poster of him
Border - Fair grumpy
My mate has something personally signed by Sir Donald Bradman.
Have signed Bradman Albums, a couple of books from when I was a kid with pretty much most of the Australian team from the early to mid 80's. Also have a program from the Les Favell Testemonial match signed by Miller, Bradman, Lindwall, Tiger O'Reilly and various others involved in the game. Pride of place however would be an empty packet of B & H signed by none other than Phil Tufnell. I was out the back at the Adelaide Oval watching the English train, smoking a fag when Tuffers comes up and bums one off me. Naturally I complied but asked him to sign the packet. So now I have a packet of B & H that says To ..... Thanks for the smoke. Phil Tufnell. Always had a soft for him after that. Incidentally Bradman signatures are worth a lot less than people think as he was determined people didn't profit greatly from them.

I remember reading once that Sir Donald would spend a lot of time giving out his signature- writing back to almost anyone that sent him a letter- so there are a ton of bradman signatures out there, so the price would eb lower than for a guy who signed rarely.

Michael Bevan, Chanderpaul and Sangakkara.
The whole Pakistan & Australian teams of I think it was 94/95... lol.. my mum got them to sign the front and back of the menu of at a pre match function...
Ricky Ponting...
Probably the best I ever got was Brian Lara... all day the prick said he would sign at the end of play...
But he shot out & went straight for the team bus... I kinda flung myself between him and the door... He looked like he wanted to belt me but reluctantly signed to get me out of the way... haha it was worth it...
Getting Boons was an achievement.... I heard him tell many a kid to F... off...

I've got the usual bunch that I collected as a kid. Warne, Gilchrist, Waughs, Fleming, Tendulkar, Kumble, Walsh, etc, etc
However, I went to Cardiff for the first Ashes test with a few mates and after spending all day on the full strength beers we stayed around and chatted to a few of the players, coaches and commentators. No one really got autographs although my mate did get Flintoff to sign an Australian Flag haha
Have a Mike Hussey autographed bat from when he was ICC ODI player of the year in 2006. Has a picture of him playing and one of him with his trophy (both in a small metal frame), with a plaque down the bottom signalling his achievement and the signature underneath that.:thumbsu:

Well, you take your chances right after the end of play- guys want to get home and are looking for a good meal and a drink or two, especially Boonie.....I got him at a book signing, and he seemed a neat guy, chatting and talking about the other players.

I got Boony's autograph at a '97 Ashes Test match in Adelaide. He was sculling beers between EVERY ball of this one over. Dad pretty much said 'go now or you may miss your chance' after the second ball :D

i got my autograph as a kid by waiting for about 30 mins after the game and then he and heals came out and signed for 30 minutes for the kids (dressed in their civvies) and were pretty happy to do so. some players are happy to do it all the time others (doug bollinger, australia day 2010) can be a bit more touchy depending on the day.
perhaps boon had a crap innings that day.
