Anyone know what happened to him? He had so much potential, but then the club went and dropped him and stopped paying him?

Pretty sure he was playing for Williamstown(?) in the VFL this year.

Oh ok, any idea why he was dropped from the team?

I saw Jolley becoming a star player in 5 or so of experience.

Spent 2 years on the rookie list from memory and didn't warrant promotion to the senior list. I think he won Bendigo's best and fairest in his 2nd year though.

Hard as nails and loved putting the head over it.
But - small, not fast, not a great kick.
VFL level.

Gees, hang on to that, or at the very least eBay it. Did you get Adrian Wilson as well?
#35 was Jolley?

No, 35 was R. Bain. I also have his sig if anyone wants it.

Jolley was 40. Wait, the next person on my book of sigs is also 40. Conspiracy?

Don't think I have Wilson's. I have Cupido's.

:D

35 was Jolley. That's the number he had at AFL level but I'm not sure if it was the same with Bendigo.

He was never ging to be a star. As Slatts 20 mentioned , not ovelrly quick , average kick and never strong enough in the legs.

Oh alright, thanks mate.

It's kind of sad how the AFL is now. It's just all about size.

Played junoir footy and cricket with Ryan, had a heap of talent and really think he could of made it in any sport if he had the commitment. You can keep the sig, but I'll tell him you've still got it. :p

Dona- have you ever seen the documentary he supposedly made of his year on our list?

Oh alright, thanks mate.

Not really. If he was quick or a good kick he woulda made it onto a list IMHO. You have to have some feature though, other than committment.

Nah, to tell the truth I haven't even heard about it. We're not as close anymore, more friends with same friends and see occasionally at clubs/pubs/parties. I'll ask about it next time.

lol, the Harp. Been a long time since I've been there, I'm a stick in the mud who works too much these days. Would be surprised though Slatts, small world and all.

Enough bogarting this thread imo.

I was talking to a mate and he goes to uni with Ben and apparently Ben is a great student, too. Student in the academic sense I mean.

Just thought I'd let the Jolley fans on here know.
