I suggest we use the original Fitzroy theme song, that one Stocka had as a signature for a while. Perhaps change a word or two for posterity's sake?

Fitzroy's Original Theme Song
(to the tune of "Far Better Off In A Home")

We all stick to the Blue and Maroon,
Win or lose, Fitzroy don't change their tune;
That's the team we hold so dear,
We'll be Premiers this year;
And you'll see us with the Pennant very soon.

Thoughts, anyone?

I reckon it'd work, but I'm not leading the chorus that's your job as Pres.

Good old Royboy team,
The best you've ever seen.
On the field each Saturday,
We show opponents how to play.
A good old brand of football,
That leaves rivals far behind.
So carn the Royboys,
The good old Royboys,
We do it every time!
HOW DID WE DO IT? EASY!

We got to incorparate "Me Lads" some where in the song &
are we going to have the French national anthem tune or something new like the Strokes or the Flaming Lips?

On a side note, there was a song written by Ugly Dave Gray in the early 80's called "Come on Fitzroy".

I actually found a snippet of the release whilst searching through some old tapes. For a sample click on the below link. (Or right mouse click and save to file)

Its about 4 meg.

Can anyone remember this? I can recall my family buying the record on vinyl. I don't think it ever really took off.

I've always thought a footy club song to the tune of Plastic Bertrands "Ce ples poit moi" (? sp) would go down a treat!
