I was watching the eagles and dees game and noticed while the players did a lap of honour there was a HUGE amount of eagles supporters. Near 4 000.
We nearly outnumbered the home team.

Crowd support was good for us throughout the whole game, kudos to the Vic-based Eagles supporters.
I noticed that on TV after the game. A lot of people were gathered around to cheer the players off. They sounded pretty passionate singing the song as well.

Dees supporters greatly outnumbered eagles fans. But since they all left early in the 4th qtr it was mainly us eagles left. Decent amount of them there anyway though.

And very vocal! Which helped.

I was amazed at the crowd support for the Eagles when I went to an away game in Melbourne last year (Western Bulldogs at Optus Oval).
Great to see we have such a loyal following in the Eastern States, who were all wearing the club colours and were very loud!
Do they still have the Eagles 'home away from home' after match functions at the Redback/Redgate? Hotel?

I think they must've all been there to see the great man himself.....
.... Ozzult ;)
But seriously, there did seem to be a fair bit of pro-Eagles noise. Always great to hear.
Yes, I did get quite a good reception.
It was good fun giving it to the Dee's supporters in the third quarter, and also especially in the last when they started piking it and going home.
I was very vocal, loved the whole game except the 2nd quarter when I wanted to break something. Other than that, it was so awesome to watch us win a game in Melbourne, especially considering I'd come from Perth.
Awesome game, I had a great time, then I went to the Cricketers Arms had a few ice cold ones, and went and got more ****ed down at the Crown nightclubs.
GREAT NIGHT!
