Love the Age but it's really starting to piss me off with their fake half covers for some shitty add, shitty glossy liftouts that fall out, and now hiding the ****ing sports section in the middle of Business, epicure etc sections!! It's not going to make us read these shitty other sections!FFS!

Herald Sun - sack your English editor because he is turning your already crap paper into a trashy English-type tabloid. Haven't seen a girl in a bikini in your first few pages for a few days yet. Must be due for another. Maybe roll out another Hawkins special. ANd please no more front page news announcing a B-grade actors such as Charlie ****ing Sheen splitting up with his wife.

p.s where's the prefix for newspapers Mods!!FFS!!!

Agree, but Epicure is not a bad read. The knife making dude in today's edition is quite interesting.

I am sick of being covered in ink after reading a few pages.

They both are struggling to come to grips with how to present the FREE VIEW channels like GO! and 7TWO etc.

Still dont mind Thursdays of either...though do wonder about the differences on the movie reviews at times.

When the footy starts, love both their sports sections whether you like the columnists or not; its opinion and if you love footy, you love reading about it.

As for the rest..mixed bag atm for both.

On the few occasions I bother to read it, yes :(

I've noticed the spelling mistakes in the Herald Sun too, the other day they had a small article about the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and in both the body text and headline they called it the IPAC.

People buy the HUN for what it is. Until it stops selling papers in record numbers, it won't change. If people want hard news they should opt for The Australian.

I buy both and enjoy both. I cant handle reading The Australian over breakfast. Need to ease into it.

All of this.

The sports section used to be the perfect read on the morning train trip. Now, it's all fumble time, trying to find the silly thing, plus all those little cardboard advertisements and pointless glossy magazines just fall out. Very tricky on a packed Metro train.

And if you just want a brief look at the front page, well, bad luck, it's covered with that stupid half-cover.

Was not a fan of the changes in the Herald Sun TV/Technology section today. :thumbsd:

My pet hate is when they do a write up on the cricket and they will mention Ricky ponting supberb knock of 80 of 70 balls, only to look at the score card NEXT TO THE ARTICLE that has Ponting 80 of 71 balls. How hard is it to get that right, surely the writer has the score card with him when he writes the article or an editor would notice it.

I recall an article in The Age claiming that Troy Selwood played for Geelong...

As much as I hate reading the Herald Sun, I actually think they have a better sports section than The Age. They sensationalise whatever news they can get their hands on, but the website is updated more regularly. They can also name a few tennis players other than those ranked in the top four.

Don't worry, newspapers aren't going to be around for much longer.

Frankly, if you read the Herald Sun (or any other News tabloid) you should know what you're getting.

Haven't seen the Age's latest layout, it's been a while since I've bought a paper in Melbourne. I don't have too much issue with the broadsheets, I mainly just wish they would switch to Berliner format so they're not impossible to read on public transport. The only reason I buy the Fin Review is because it's the only quality paper that actually caters to commuters, and I'd ditch it tomorrow for a regular paper with a decent business section.
