Well we're 3 and 3 now, and about in the middle of the pack. Are we going to be a major threat this season or not?

Part of me says that we'll still make the eight, but won't do that well come September. But then again, no team is going to beat Brisbane in Brisbane or Freo in Perth this season, and we played pretty bad against Carlton, but still could have won. And we were unstoppable against Melb and Collingwood.

Are we only as good as the ladder suggests, or are we better than that?

I think we have the potential to be better than this, but we don't appear to have the confidence or the desire right now to do as such.

Bottom half of the 8.

Bottom half of the 8=No CHANCE!!! As we would have to play interstate in a final=We're dead.

Why can we not play with passion week in week out?

why does the coach switch the team around sooo much??

Why is our disposal so poor??

Why aren;t we disciplined??

I said three weeks ago that we would know where the team is. After 2 weeks it looked promising, but this was the real test and we failed again. The players didn;t respond, and personally, I think its time we got a coach. Sheedy is great at marketing the club, but his job is to coach and I don;t think he can anymore.

Have to disagree with playing a final interstate, certainly not in week one.

If we go right now, we'd would be yes, but, it's more likely that we will finish 5th or 6th, which then means a home final for the elimination final. A win there means that under the agreement, we would be a big chance of hosting an interstate side at the MCG (particularly if we finish 5th and then win(.

I think we'll get a year or two out of Sheeds, but it would be good if he could still hang around the club for a while still, just for marketing reasons.

Pazza, last finals series everything was supposed to fall into our own hands but it didn;t, because we had no control over our fate, just like last year, if this happens again, we will not have a chance. Even if we won one on the road, the likelihood of a second trip is high.

It's about time we pulled our finger out and decided our destiny instead of p*ssing off us, the supporters.

This is about where I had us picked after 6 rounds - just I penciled in a loss to Collingwood on Anzac Day and a win over Carlton. No team has beaten Brisbane at the Gabba since the Dees last year, and no Victorian team has beaten Freo in Perth in over 18 months so all is not lost.

We have 4 winable games in the next 4 weeks - Richmond and Hawthorn @ the G, and Port Adelaide and West Coast @ The Dome, so all looks good we can be 7-3 after 10.

We are slowly getting back all of our good players - Fletch, Welly, Barney and Mercs are all back as well as Ramma coming back in a couple. Hirdy and Lloydy look good so far, and we are getting great games from the younger fellas (Cupido, Welshy, Jacobs etc) so we are looking good. If the boys can play half as well as they did against Collingwood, we should be 7-3 no worries.

My opinion on why we are not playing the same week in and week out is due to the fact we have a lot of new young players who are in and out each week.

This does not allow for a settled team and a really close knit team. This will change as the year progresses and we SHOULD see a more consistent aproach next year.

He has always done this and it has proven to be a successful move. It has allowed him to throw someone in an unusual spot for them when we need a desperate change and has often reaped a great result.

Also against Freo he actually made substantially few moves compared to Connelly.

I think it's about time that Sheeds really bit the bullet and dumped some of the senior players who are playing on reputation alone. This should be a rebuilding year where the youn guys are given as much chance as possible to gain experience. I would consider it a much better year if we finish eighth and lose in the first week of the finals but have blooded our young players than if we finish fifth and bow out in the third week of the finals but are still relying on the older players such as Alessio, Mercuri and Mesiti.
