Fred blutzed early with three majors, then went back to defence as we rotated the goalkickers for fun. Reardo, with about his 9th consecutive BOG dobbed 5 goals in another leather-poisoned display, while Roy Fitzlion had 20, count 'em, twenty kicks, and dobbed 6 goals straight.

We are still last, by a small amount of percentage and one premiership point. Two more rounds to go and we can get off the bottom surely. Get on us!

But we will just concentrate on the upcoming clash with yet another team who's finals hopes we can deconstruct :)

I posted this a few minutes ago on the abovementioned match thread. Its our last match of the season as we will just miss the finals.

I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Roylion, who played his 150th game for the Roys last week, and Fat Pizza who played their 150th game two rounds ago. Fat Pizza also brought up their 150th goal a couple of rounds prior to that. A sterling effort from two of the original team members, with Fat Pizza the 5 foot ruckman and Roylion a past selector/captain! Roylion, knock up 7 goals this weekend (from CHB?!) and you'll also be in the "tonne and a half club".

Sometime earlier in this 2009/10 season, the immaculate Bobby Beecroft entered the 100 game club. Having played in pretty much every position there is, over the years, Bobby's prolific ballwinning skills are probably second only to his likelihood of going postal if he gets moved around one more time. Bobby also snuck over the 50 goal career mark sometime recently.

Jake The Peg racked up his 50th game earlier this year, and his 100th goal a couple of rounds back! For a player that Fred banished to the backline repeatedly due to inaccurate kicking, that's got to be an achievement worth regarding highly.

Don Vito Of Fitzroy also played his 50th match for the Roys this year, and Fred has 79 games to his Roys belt, which of course is only one portion of his ageless history in the Sweet FA, having also played for Team Timmy, the Mod Squad, and squad knows who else, the tart! :D Fred has often had to step in and hold the Roys afloat when all others fell by the wayside, and is our favouritest import ever. (He told me to say that)

Mr Ripper also hit the 50 game mark earlier this season! Congratulations to the big Rip!

I would like to congratulate myself for kicking my 50th goal ... when I rack up four majors this weekend :D

Congrats to all our achievers and diehard players who've brought the Roys back to life in 2009/10. The abovementioned stalwarts, along with the exciting new blood seen in such hyperactive recruits as ItsMyShow, Carn The Roys, Roy FitzLion and of course "Christ Kid You're A" Reardo, I am gratified to see the health our 'rillas team is enjoying. Correct me if I am wrong, but Reardo, for instance, may actually not even have been a Bigfooty member, and was a complete stranger to me, until I decided to spam some Fitzroy pages on Facebook with the Roys FC venture.

This is our last on-field hitout for 2009/10, but I'm sure the young bucks who run the show will need to satisfy their A.D.D. and try to squeeze in six or seven more seasons before Christmas. So don't go back, as we'll be right away!

Do not forget, though, that there are awards to be given yet, by the Sweet FA brass. The best and fairest count, named after yours truly because of my stolen testicles (gambled away by I won't tell you who), is usually a 15 or 16 page thread of much mirth. We may even get a second winner, to etch into the board along with our 2005 winner Broken.

In all seriousness, its been a very entertaining season, and whether we finish 7th or 8th, I believe all the Roys who turned up for matches should be able to be proud of their achievements. Its a hell of a lot of fun, and I hope to see yers all back for the next season. Thank you for your help in making our return to the Sweet FA a successful one. Active, amusing and passionate, you're a flavour of this comp that the league as a whole now respects and appreciates.

Congratulations to all concerned. Jake the Peg's effort of 105 goals from 58 games is particularly impressive, given he has an extra leg, which tends to slow down his running. It obviously doesn't hurt his goalkicking ability though. The opposition defenders never know which leg to cover.

If you have someone else's testicles to bet with, then you could do worse than to use them to back Reardo in this year's Mobbenfuhrer Medal.

While I think that I am the rightful and deserving winner of the Mobbs Medal after my 3rd place in last years medal, I am accepting of the fact that Reardo completely dominates everyone else in the world and I may be developing some worrying type of stalking man crush...

If nothing else, he should be a certainty for the EKA medal for the best first year player..

On this note, I would like to congratulate me for the push to get this exciting young talent onto the ball where he belongs... :D
