I know supporters of all clubs complain about the umpiring, but at least we have evidence that the umps are anti-Essendon.
It's the same every year - always Bulldogs up the top and the Bombers down the bottom.
We aren't going to get any favours from the AFL, because we kept our own website, which has p*ssed off telstra & in turn p*ssed off the AFL.
That is why they are investigating Hird & Lloyd re the website, telstra wanted to employ them to work exclusively on their website, but when they stayed on our official site, seems we upset telstra & the AFL.
Seems it is OK for Lloyd & Hird to get paid for being a part of a testra/AFL website, but not the Bombers one, go figure. :rolleyes:

I'll even get Derek Humphrey-Smith to throw a few wayward bounces in to stuff the Bombers up at crucial times too. I'm sure all the umpires will comply. They all hate Essendon. They don't hate the other teams. Only Essendon. All the other teams are squeaky clean.

Woah. Do you post on BomberTalk as well mantis? That's very cynical indeed and looks like something a numerous bunch of un named morons would post over there.
(However, I do in a way agree with the salary deal thing and am abit sus about why all of a sudden they look into that. )
But to suggest that that is the main reason for umpires not to give us free kicks is crazy. I think we've been to undisaplined in some areas. But it'll probably average out over the year.

Maybe they are saying it, because of things being said by people within the club, that we are in the AFL's site, because we won't tow the line, this very subject was being discussed, pre game on Sunday.
I can take undisciplined play being paid free kicks against us, but when we get penalised for nothing & don't get frees when deserved, you have to question what is going on, the inconsistency this year involving us, has been bullshyte.

At least I know I am true to my club & will stick with them through thick & thin, you are a fair weather supporter, only love them when they win & are doing well.
You were the type of supporter, that used to get a bad reception at Windy Hill after a win, because you wouldn't be there after a loss.

You started the pointless insults, you just don't like getting them back, at least I know I will still be a Bomber member in 10 years time, no matter how we are going, I doubt if you can say the same.

OH & gee I am impressed, you have been following the Bombers for 11 years., get back to me when the Bombers have been out of the eight for at least 5 years straight & you are still a member.
Also, you have avoided the question about why you haven't voted for round 6, as I said, only bandwagon supporters only vote when the team wins.

Mantis, the comments are so ridiculous that anyone with a modicum of common-sense, would know it's just not possible. Sit down and think about it rationally, woman. Are you honestly naive enough to think the AFL have contacted the umpires and told them to penalise Essendon on the field.
The AFL have got more important things to worry about than to set up a conspiracy against Essendon through the umpires. What would they AFL gain out if it? What would anyone gain out if it? What the hell did you even mention it for? It's something a 9 year old would mention, because they aren't worldly-wise yet.
I suppose if Lloydy had been suspended for his punch the other week against Carlton, you'd claim that was a conspiracy too. Pity for you he got off, which stuffs up your conspiracy claim.
Ridiculous. If the umpires were instructed to screw Essendon over, they'd be instructed to screw over every other team that ain't Sydney or Brisbane.
