Look like the IPL will go into the USA, I think it's a good idea the Americians will love the T20 format. I'd prefer it if they focused on making all formats long term and viable by assisting with creating a proper future tours program that represents the test nations, ODI nations and T20 nations accordingly, so they can progress in a systematic fashion, that will enable the strength of cricket as a sport to show through, rather than attempting gimmick competitions in the USA.
